You might not peg Raylan Givens as a "Star Wars" fan, but it turns out the lead character in "Justified" has a little bit of geek cred. It's on display in the teaser for the show's second season, which premieres Feb. 9 on FX. Givens (Timothy Olyphant) and a suspect are in a bar, and Givens notes how much it reminds him of the cantina scene: "Did you know that in the original version, Han shoots first? But then they changed it, so that the bad guy pulls on Han first."It's a great 30 seconds of promotion, capturing both Givens' tendency to shoot first, the tension that being around someone as tightly wound as he is creates and the show's sly sense of humor. The Bennetts have been the biggest pot farmers in Eastern Kentucky for generations, and they were bootleggers before that. Mags is described as a defender of the old ways, and even at her age, she's more dangerous than ever. The Hollywood Reporter tells us that Jeremy Davies (Lost, Rescue Dawn) has booked a recurring role on season two of FX’s Justified , as the new nemesis for Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant). According to the article, Davies’ character Dickie Bennett is yet another old rival of Raylan’s. The smartest of three brothers, Dickie comes from another family that has a long history with the Givens clan, and has spent time in prison for dealing marijuana (which happens to be the family business). His problems with Raylan go way back: he walks with a limp following a high school fight with everyone’s favorite Harlan County marshal. Needless to say, he’ll have a very personal axe to grind. Davies is best known to TV geeks as Daniel Faraday on Lost . To Read More Click Here.
"Justified" is setting its position for the second season with the release of its trailer. Timothy Olyphant is back as Raylan Givens, the tough southern-bred but soft-spoken federal lawman, enforcing his own brand of at-times extralegal justice. The trailer which was scheduled to air during October 12 episode of "Sons of Anarchy", shows more bad-guy hunting by Givens and more complications in his relationship with people in his hometown.
