Phillippa Troy (Penelope Keith) is a barrister who likes to win her cases. She's also the author of a series of children's books. Phillippa is supported by her instructing solicitor Arthur Bryant (Eamon Boland), her clerk Steven (John Junkin) and her junior Susan (Emma Davies). Her main rival in court, as often as not, is Gerald Triggs (Simon Williams).
