'Law and Order: SVU' 11.20 Preview: Beef

In the next "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit", Mariska Hargitay gets punched in the face. After a young woman is sexually assaulted and murdered, Detectives Olivia Benson and Eliot Stabler track down the woman's boyfriend - their first suspect, but learn that he is a devout vegan who wouldn't hurt a fly. They soon find that the victim had been deeply involved in the fight to expose questionable practices in the meat-packing industry, even going undercover at a large company to find out the truth. Benson goes undercover herself to retrace the woman's footsteps and to identify who the victim might have angered along the way. Titled "Beef", the episode is airing on April 21. This would be the last episode before Sharon Stone begins a recurring role as ADA Jo Marlowe aka Stabler's old partner who switched job to become an attorney. On another news, the "Law & Order" has expanded its franchise with a Los Angeles version. NBC has ordered 13 episodes for a Fall premiere. Meanwhile, "SVU" has been cleared for a 12th season although some budgeting will be adjusted. Source & Preview

'Law & Order: SVU' scoop: Benson and Stabler married with children?!

Talk about a sweeps stunt: Law & Order: SVU's May 5 episode will find Benson and Stabler playing house! 'They're going undercover as a married couple adopting a baby,' reveals executive producer Neal Baer, who says the episode will allow longtime fans to 'experience the fantasy' of a Benson/Stabler coupling (without any of the morning after awkwardness). How far will the partners take the charade? 'You'll have to wait and see,' hedges Baer, who declines to say whether the two will share a kiss. 'But there's certainly emotion shown between them because they're [supposed] to be married.' Source Here

'Law & Order: SVU': Should NBC have kept the Kathy Griffin/Mariska Hargitay kiss?

One week ago, NBC released video of a same-sex kiss between Mariska Hargitay and guest star Kathy Griffin in an effort to promote last night's return of Law & Order: SVU. But it didn't happen! The U.S. telecast cut directly from Kathy going in for the kiss to Mariska being all 'Back off, bitch!' Or, in Law & Order language (LOL): Whoa, whoa, whoa, now. That's not on the menu. I'm personally more outraged at the cheesy dialogue throughout and Benson's 'I wouldn't go in there if I were you' warning than by NBC's weird decision here. What do you think? Should NBC have kept the kiss? And will this show ever get the gay thing right? Source & Video
