Letters From Iwo Jima Summary
Letters from Iwo Jima is a 2006 Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning war film directed by Clint Eastwood about the Battle of Iwo Jima from the perspective of Japanese soldiers starring Ken Watanabe and Kazunari Ninomiya among others. It is a complementary film to Eastwood's Flags of Our Fathers which depicts the same battle from the American viewpoint. The film is almost entirely in Japanese but was made by an American production company.
