Throughout this week, fans are talking about Life Unexpected for two reasons: 1. Its polarizing finale on Monday night. 2. Its odd of getting renewed for a second season. The CW has until May 19 to reveal the show's fate, but creator Liz Tigelaar sounds optimistic. In an interview with Zap2It, she even discusses storylines and plans for another round of 13 episodes. On the evolution of Lux: We're trying to explore what Lux will do now that she knows Cate and Baze want her. She wants to be somebody worthy of the faith they've put in her. She doesn't want them to think they got a dud, you know? That they just adopted a lemon. To Read More Click Here
Welcome to a new week of TV! Your SideReel editorial team has been bringing you weekly columns all about what's happening in TV throughout the week, so check out all our columns so far at the bottom of this article. Now to the juicy TV of the week! Gleek OUT! I'll be watching a lot of TV this week, but there's one show return this week that an enormous gaggle of Gleeks and I have been looking forward to for months: why Glee of course!! Since (almost) all of us here at SideReel adore Glee, we're running a Glee Showdown where you can vote for your favorite touching moment from the first half of the season. Picking a favorite Glee moment is like picking a favorite child to me, but I'll try to channel my inner Lucille Bluth on this one! From the choices Alex put together for our showdown, I have to go with Kurt coming out to his dad as my top touching moment. As for the big Glee episode this week, here's what I'm DYING to see more about: *Will & Emma - what happened after the big fall finale kiss?? *What's up with the promos showing Sue Sylvester in bed with Principal Figgins?? *Will Quinn and Puck get together now that they've been outed? *What will Quinn do now that she's lost her secret adoption mama? *Can anyone have a love interest outside of the glee club? (AKA will Finn just turn to Rachel in his time of Quinn betrayal, or will we see him with a new girl next?) *It looks like it's time for Kurt to have a boyfriend! Can this go well or will it just result in him needing to wear full rain gear daily for slushie defense? What are you most excited to see unfold on Glee's big return? Other TV I'm Psyched For This Week House - After yet another break, House finally returns Monday night with an all new episode! It looks like a pretty typical episode, but I'm just happy to have Dr. House back in my regular Monday lineup. Life UneXpected - It's time for the season finale already! It's the big Cate-Ryan wedding, and of course the promos showed the cliche moment of Baze busting into the church during the ceremony. Will this turn into the ultimate showdown in this love triangle, or was that just typical Baze running late for a big event? Or maybe he wasn't invited because of his confusing past with Cate? Can't wait to find out and here's hoping we aren't left with just a huge cliffhanger. Ugly Betty - Yes, it's time to say goodbye to our beloved Ugly Betty. (Check out our " This Week in TV " video where Rachel tells me I must let go of Betty!) I feel like this one still had another season or two of life left in it, but since it's a show where I've become more attached to the characters finding their way in fictional life than actually getting to watch the show from week to week, I'll be happy enough to say goodbye as long as it leaves us with a satisfying ending. After last week's episode where Betty pulled her head out of the fashion magazine sand, it looks like it's time for her to have some good career revelations which may mean leaving MODE, and surprise, surprise, Henry's going to appear since Betty drunk-called him in London! This is looking like an open window to happiness for Betty, and most of the rest of the characters, so that's all I need! What are you most excited for this week on TV? Cate (Shiri Appleby) and Ryan (Kerr Smith) intend to walk down the aisle in tonight's season finale of the CW's Life Unexpected (8/7c). But will they make it through the nuptials? The couple has endured many trials, with most of the problems caused by Baze (Kristoffer Polaha). Lux's dad will definitely be an obstacle for Cate to overcome before the wedding. "In Life Unexpected fashion, nothing is easy with the four of us," Britt Robertson, who plays Lux, tells TVGuide.com. "Cate ends up making the right decision for herself, and she ends up finding herself amongst the craziness that is life." With the wedding comes the question of family. "Cate makes a definitive answer in the last episode of what she's going to do with her life and how she's going to deal with Lux being in her life now," continues Robertson. "You'll see that Cate and Lux settle their own problems with each other and become a family. Lux finds a place in her heart to be supportive of Cate either way." Whatever the wedding brings, Robertson says it's a great set-up for Season 2 - should the show get renewed. "There are tons of cliffhangers in the finale," she concludes. * House (8/7c Fox) No, House and his gang haven't followed their last patient into that black hole she was hallucinating, but it has been a month since we've heard from them. So what's new? Cameron (Jennifer Morrison) is back, for one thing. And she and everyone else will have plenty of time to catch up because the hospital has been put on lockdown because of a missing infant, and everyone must stay where they are. David Straithairn guest stars as a crotchety terminal patient who must pass the lockdown time with House, and Hugh Laurie makes his directorial debut. * Life Unexpected (8/7c The CW ) This drama about a foster teenager reconnecting with her birth parents wraps up its rookie season. As Cate prepares to marry Ryan, she attempts to sort out her feelings for both him and Baze, a man who has become an almost constant presence in her life ever since he reentered the picture with Lux. Meanwhile, Lux discloses some big news that could be life-changing for everyone around her. * 24 (9/8c Fox) For eight seasons now, fans have been rooting for Jack Bauer, super secret agent in the war against terror, even if we weren't always entirely sure we approved of his methods. But equally important to the series' success has been having somebody to draw our ire - and not just the obvious terrorist enemies. Returning tonight to the show for the stretch run is former president Logan (Gregory Itzin), the man whose picture ought to appear beneath the dictionary definition for "smarmy." * The Big Bang Theory (9:31/8:31c CBS) Since Sheldon loves superheroes and they usually have nemeses that never go away, it only seems fitting that Sheldon would have one, too. Wil Wheaton returns to battle Sheldon once again, and this time they face off in the bowling alley - though it's difficult to imagine Sheldon even picking up a ball, let alone playing. Also engaged in battle - but with words - are Penny and Leonard, whose argument threatens their relationship. * Castle (10:02/9:02 ABC) The late-night talk-show wars may have settled down, but it's still deadly terrain for talk-show hosts in Richard Castle's world. Tom Bergeron puts his gift of gab to good use playing Bobby Mann, a renowned host with a target on his back. He forewarns Castle of his pending death, but when Mann's prediction comes true Beckett isn't convinced of foul play. It then falls to Castle to change her mind. Meanwhile, a sexy celeb (Kelly Carlson) cozies up to Castle. Source Here

It's still pretty much a tug of war between Life UneXpected and One Tree Hill for that precious CW renewal. And while OTH is beating Lux in terms of petition lists and fan base, the rookie series is proving that it can hold its own as far as ratings go. Life Unexpected climbed to its highest rating last week since episode 2, posting a dramatic 36 percent increase in its target 18-34 demo, an18 percent in the all-important 18-34 adult demo and a 7 percent increase in total viewers. Life Unexpected's 2.11 mil even beat out CBS and NBC in the 8pm hour among women 18 to 34. This doesn't mean that One Tree Hill is a ratings pariah - not remotely, since it stands on pretty solid ratings ground. Says TV By the Numbers, if One Tree Hill is going to be canceled, it's going to be on contractual, rather than ratings, issues. Its current season's ratings, however, at 2.39 mil on the average is still a far cry from its blockbuster sophomore season at 4.3 mil. To Read More Click Here .
It appears serious on tonight's episode of Life Unexpected. The promo goes as far as calling it "the darkest hour" in the series' 10-episode run. Hmm. Sure, we don't approve of some of Lux's (Britt Robertson) bonehead decisions, but when she says something like "I know I seem like I'm OK but I'm more messed up inside than you realize," you kind of take a step back and understand where Lux is coming from. On "Family Therapized" Lux's social worker reemerges once again to meet with Cate (Shiri Appleby) and Baze (Kristoffer Polaha) after Bug and Lux are picked up by the police. Also, Cate tries to find a returning Bug a job at the radio station. Source & Preview
