'Life Unexpected' Star Britt Robertson on Her Character's Future, the Mood On Set and Wrapping Up the Show

When a network declines to pick up the second half of a television season, it's usually a sign that the show won't return for another year. Most people would probably throw in the towel -- but not the cast and crew of 'Life Unexpected.' When star Britt Robertson spoke with TV Squad a couple of weeks ago, she said the bad news only made her work harder. "It's so easy to be like 'Alright, let's close up the shop,'" she said. "But there are so many people who love the show and are having such a great time on it that it's just made us fight harder to show The CW what they're missing out on." In the final four episodes of season 2, Robertson's character, Lux, will continue her illicit relationship with her English teacher ("It's so wrong, but so good!" Robertson said, and it will unfold into "some pretty big situations.") and deal with the abusive foster family she lived with during middle school ("There are some pretty big storylines involving that."). Does Kristoffer Polaha's New CBS Deal Spell Doom for Life Unexpected?

Life Unexpected star Kristoffer Polaha has signed a deal with CBS and CBS Studios in what may be the final nail in the coffin for the struggling CW drama, according to Deadline. The 33-year-old was offered a deal with CBS — to headline a new project next fall — the day the CW opted not to pick up the back nine episodes of Life Unexpected, which is also produced by CBS Studios. The sophomore show drew 1.3 million viewers for its most recent new episode on Nov. 16. There are still four new episodes left to air. Although the possibility remains that CW could pick up a third season in May, Polaha will most likely be cast in other new pilots and plays an integral role as the biological father of 16-year-old orphan Lux (Britt Robertson). Before Life Unexpected, Polaha held a recurring role on Mad Men and starred on the short-lived series North Shore and Miss Guided. Source Here

'Life Unexpected's' Britt Robertson: 'None of us have given up'

"Life Unexpected" fans were dealt a disappointing (but not entirely unexpected) blow when The CW confirmed that they would not be ordering a full season of the sophomore series. Though the network won't say that the series is officially canceled, an eleventh-hour reprieve is unlikely. Even star Shiri Appleby posted the following disheartening message on her Facebook:  "I hate to bring the bad news but our little show is coming to an end. The cast, crew, and I thank you for all your support these past two years. It's been a little slice of heaven!" If you're feeling glum, you're not alone When Zap2it caught up with Britt Robertson, she admitted that the cast and crew have been a bit down. "Yes, there's a melancholy vibe in the back of our heads, because we wish we were doing the back nine," she says. "We love this show, we love the job and the characters’’. To Read More Click Here.

What Does Life Unexpected's Britt Robertson Think About Character’s Student-Teacher Romance?

Although Britt Robertson agrees that her character Lux's student-teacher relationship on Life Unexpected is "messed up," the actress admits, "he is ultimately a good guy leading Lux in the right direction." This season, 16-year-old Lux has moved on from a broken engagement (yes, in high school) and found love again, only in the wrong place. Robertson says that her relationship with Eric (Shaun Sipos) clearly won't last in the long-term, but for now Lux is grateful for the companionship. "Eric gets who she is from the inside out -- gets her past, gets her present and understands her," she tells us. "The two of them are happy in this place that they are." That place is hidden, of course. Tasha (Ksenia Solo), Lux's best friend, is the only person who knows about the pair and in last week's episode she took a huge bullet for her friend in order to protect them.  Robertson says it won't cause a huge rift in their friendship moving forward. "They're friends to the end. They'll support each other in whatever they do whether it's right or wrong," she  says. To Read More Click Here.
