There are only two episodes of LIFE UNEXPECTED left and, quite frankly, that breaks our heart a little. Yes, we understand the reality of the ratings business. But really, when was the last time The CW aired a show so darn lovable? In honor of the series, LUX creator Liz Tigelaar and stars Shiri Appleby (Cate) and Kristoffer Polaha (Baze) participated in IBG’s Conversation event — a benefit for Portland’s Boys & Girls Aid — this weekend. Keep reading for some of their thoughts on LUX, its fans, a few of their favorite memories and more… Tigelaar told us that when she got the call from The CW, saying they wouldn’t be ordering the back nine episodes of season two — just one day before they were to prep what would be the final hour of the show — she and the writers had to figure out what LIFE UNEXPECTED was really about: a love triangle or a family? The writers concluded that LUX was about a family and were able to make a few tweaks to give the finale some closure. http://www.givememyremote.com/remote/2010/12/14/life-unexpected-shiri-appleby-kris-polaha-liz-tigelaar-talk-finale/
When Life Unexpected returns for a special two-hour event on January 18, it won't just be a season finale, it will be a series finale. While the CW is billing it as just the end of season 2, the truth is that Life Unexpected will come to an end in the new year. The network might not like to promote it, but the studio behind the show, Warner Brothers, has announced that it will release a special six-disc DVD set called Life Unexpected : The Complete Series on April 5. Luckily the writers were given some notice, so fans shouldn't be left with a cliffhanger or any open questions. To Read More Click Here.

When a network declines to pick up the second half of a television season, it's usually a sign that the show won't return for another year. Most people would probably throw in the towel -- but not the cast and crew of 'Life Unexpected.' When star Britt Robertson spoke with TV Squad a couple of weeks ago, she said the bad news only made her work harder. "It's so easy to be like 'Alright, let's close up the shop,'" she said. "But there are so many people who love the show and are having such a great time on it that it's just made us fight harder to show The CW what they're missing out on." In the final four episodes of season 2, Robertson's character, Lux, will continue her illicit relationship with her English teacher ("It's so wrong, but so good!" Robertson said, and it will unfold into "some pretty big situations.") and deal with the abusive foster family she lived with during middle school ("There are some pretty big storylines involving that."). Life Unexpected star Kristoffer Polaha has signed a deal with CBS and CBS Studios in what may be the final nail in the coffin for the struggling CW drama, according to Deadline. The 33-year-old was offered a deal with CBS — to headline a new project next fall — the day the CW opted not to pick up the back nine episodes of Life Unexpected, which is also produced by CBS Studios. The sophomore show drew 1.3 million viewers for its most recent new episode on Nov. 16. There are still four new episodes left to air. Although the possibility remains that CW could pick up a third season in May, Polaha will most likely be cast in other new pilots and plays an integral role as the biological father of 16-year-old orphan Lux (Britt Robertson). Before Life Unexpected, Polaha held a recurring role on Mad Men and starred on the short-lived series North Shore and Miss Guided. Source Here
