Produced by CBS Paramount Network Television, Warner Bros. Television and Company Pictures, the series was officially greenlit by The CW and given a thirteen-episode order on May 15, 2007. The series is currently scheduled to premiere on October 7, 2007, airing on Sunday nights at 8:00/7:00c, following Online Nation. It will also be broadcast on E! in Canada as a mid-season replacement. Warner Channel will air the show in South America.
Brett Cullen and Judith Hoag were originally cast as Danny Clarke and Jo Clarke respectively but the roles were re-casted in June and July 2007.

Summary
Life is Wild Premiere: October 7, 2007 Life is Wild is an upcoming American television serial drama adapted by Michael Rauch, George Faber and Charlie Pattinson from popular British drama, Wild at Heart. Bryan Gordon directed the pilot. The show is about a New York veterinarian who moves his second wife and their two sets of children to a South African game reserve run by his former father-in-law.
