The unusual thing about this clip is that it is also set in the original timeline, unlike previous episodes where there is always a clip set in the alternate timeline. For an episode that promises to make sense of those sideways flashes this is a bit unusual. But at least it means we really are going to get some answers to those flashes. There's only one more episode of "Lost" before the series comes to an end with a two-hour season finale on Sunday, May 23. The preview offers, as usual, no new footage or conversation but uses The Doors' "The End" as the background sound. Since the official synopsis is yet to be released, one can only hang onto the episode's title to guess what may come up in the episode. "What They Died For", hopefully will explain why [Spoiler Alert] Sun, Jin, Sayid and other characters have to be killed in this week's episode. On a side note, Evangeline Lilly has been making rounds on talk shows to promote the end of the series. After popping up on "The View", she went to "Late Show with David Letterman" to discuss the finale in more details. When asked by David Letterman if it would fade to black like "The Sopranos" finale, the actress who plays Kate said, "Lost" version "holds true to our 'Lost' traditions' and 'represents the show nicely'."
