ABC Family Fans: Here's 2 new shows to get excited about: The network announced Wednesday (Jan. 27) that "Huge" and "Pretty Little Liars" -- both one-hour dramas - have been given a 10-episode order and are scheduled to premiere later this year. Pretty Little Liars follows four estranged best friends who are reunited a year after the leader of their clique goes missing, only to realize that they're all receiving anonymous messages from someone who knows all their secrets. Lucy Kate Hale - best known for her role on The CW's Privileged -- will star alongside three relative newcomers as well as "Melrose Place"'s Laura Leighton and Nia Peeples. Huge follows the lives of the teens and staff at a weight loss camp. It is based on the book of the same name by author Sasha Paley. The series is being developed by Winnie Holzman ("My So-Called Life," "Once & Again") and her daughter Savannah Dooley. Will you watch these series? Source

Since Greek is returning to ABC Family this coming Monday, January 25th, I felt it necessary to share this somewhat surprising/upsetting news. In a recent "Ask Ausiello" column, Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello responds to a question about Greek being in danger of cancellation, and substantiates this rumor ! From the column: Question: Is Greek really in danger of being canceled? -Lisa Ausiello: I heard rumblings to that effect, but it wasn't until ABC Family basically renewed every single one of its scripted programs except Greek this week that the show's bubble status really hit me. I'm told ABC Family execs will be looking very closely at the ratings for the show's premiere on Jan. 25, so, please, tell everyone and your sister to watch it. Source Honestly, it hadn't even occurred to me that Greek was considered 'on the bubble', but with breakout hits The Secret Life of The American Teenager and Make It or Break It , the show is clearly no longer the net's poster child. While you could argue that Greek has actually arrived at a logical concluding point (Casey, Evan, Ashleigh and Cappie should be finishing up college soon enough...), I'd like to see the show survive just a little longer. It's only in its 3rd season! What do you think? Would you be sad to see Greek go? Will you be watching the premiere this Monday?
Cassie Scerbo is the modern version of a triple threat. A cable actress, pop singer and an accomplished dancer, her trifecta of skills have earned her roles in a number of projects including Bring It On: In It to Win It and currently, ABC Family's second highest rated series Make It or Break It, where she plays Lauren Tanner, Rocky Mountain's bitch of the beam. When she isn't embodying one of the nastiest characters on ABC Family, the upbeat actress packs her schedule with voice overs, auditions, online college courses, church and a boyfriend, her Make It co-star Cody Longo. The success of ABC Family's The Secret Life of the American Teenager is no fluke. Premiering the back half of its second season to 4.5 million viewers on Monday (Jan. 4) - 2.12 million were adults between the ages of 18 to 49 and 3 million between 12 to 34 - "Secret Life"'s return is now cable's No. 1 scripted premiere of the '09-'10 season in key demos, beating the debuts of TNT's Ray Romano series Men of a Certain Age (2.08 million, 18-49) and FX's Nip/Tuck (1.90 million, 18-49). More good news for the network came as "Secret Life"'s lead-out Make It or Break It started the second half of its first season with 2.7 million tuning in (1.2 million adults 18 to 49, 1.7 million 12 to 34) at 9 o'clock. To put this in perspective, there are more people on average watching "Make It or Break It" than Gossip Girl or 90210 , and "Secret Life" is pulling numbers those CW shows would cut someone for. Are you surprised by these figures? Source
