Tonight marks the first part in the season finale of Fox’s Masterchef , the reality cooking show that gives passionate home cooks a chance at food fame. Last week on Masterchef , Gordon Ramsay and company narrowed it down to the final three contestants, after eliminating Frank, the Italian accountant with a knack for cooking. It all went down with a bit of poetic justice, leaving Frank and Josh to battle it out with Josh coming out on top this time around. "MasterChef" contender Christine Ha -- back home in Texas after the completion of filming in Los Angeles -- might not be cooking at home tonight."I don't have anything in mind," she tells Zap2it. 'MasterChef' climbs to season high rating for Fox

MasterChef  helped  Fox  sneak a ratings win on Tuesday night (August 28). The cooking series climbed to a season high 18-49 demo rating of  2.8  and 6.5 million viewers at 9pm.

It’s down to the final four tonight on Masterchef and the remaining home cooks seem determined and ready to fight to the finish. After the elimination of Monti last week, we are left with four seemingly competent cooks, all of whom deserve to possibly take home the final prize and title of Masterchef . On tonight's episode, the four remaining Masterchef hopefuls face their most intimidating challenge to date in which they are tasked to pair up and prepare a three course meal for not only the judges, but also three of the world’s top chefs whose Michelin star count would make most professional chefs’ heads spin. Graham Elliot Bowles and his wife Allie welcomed son Jedediah Lindsay Bowles on Saturday. The MasterChef judge explained the origins of the name to People : "Allie's dad's name is Jed and my dad's middle name is Lindsay," he said.

Tonight, it was revealed that Christine Ha from Houston, TX; Josh Marks from Jackson, MS; Frank Mirando from Holtsville, NY; and Becky Reams from Stilwell, KS, are the Top Four finalists on MASTERCHEF, after Monti Carlo, from Los Angeles, CA, was eliminated.

NBC also ran encores of the "Go On" and "Animal Practice" pilots that previewed during the Olympics, and unsurprisingly their numbers were much, much lower. Still, for summer comedy repeats, they did all right.NBC led the night with 7.9 million viewers and a 4.9 rating/8 share in households. CBS (7.15 million, 4.8/8) was second in viewers, finishing well ahead of FOX (4.7 million, 2.8/5). ABC came in fourth with 3 million viewers and a 2.1/3.
