Joe, who died 41 years earlier in a plane crash, is patiently waiting as she enters the afterlife. Earlier in the episode, Allison attempted to convince herself during an extended dream sequence that Joe wasn't dead. Medium creator Glenn Gordon Caron promises “complete closure” when the CBS drama starring Patricia Arquette ends its seven-year run on Jan. 21. He also offers this exclusive teaser about the final episode, which began taping last week in Manhattan Beach, Calif: “It takes place in the present, it takes place seven years after that, and then it takes place 40 years after that.” The entire ensemble will participate, but don’t look for surprise visits. “It’s not like Captain Push is coming back or anything,” says Caron, in reference to Arliss Howard’s character who was the first member of law enforcement to learn that Arquette’s character could foresee events and talk to the dead. CBS has officially canceled Medium. "It's true. Allison Dubois will dream her last dream on Medium, Friday, January 21st. In what we believe will be a series defining episode, Allison and her family will stare destiny in the eye. And destiny will not blink," creator Glenn Gordon Caron wrote on the show's official Facebook page Thursday. News of the cancellation comes just days after star Patricia Arquette told Entertainment Weekly the series had been axed. CBS announced last month that it had cut the drama's original 22-episode order back to 13 episodes. Now in its seventh season, Medium premiered on NBC in 2005 before moving to CBS last year. The series has been averaging 7.1 million viewers on Fridays at 8/7c. Are you sad Medium is canceled? What were your favorite moments? Source Here
