CBS Announces Medium's Cancellation on Facebook

CBS has officially canceled Medium. "It's true. Allison Dubois will dream her last dream on Medium, Friday, January 21st. In what we believe will be a series defining episode, Allison and her family will stare destiny in the eye. And destiny will not blink," creator Glenn Gordon Caron wrote on the show's official Facebook page Thursday. News of the cancellation comes just days after star Patricia Arquette told Entertainment Weekly the series had been axed. CBS announced last month that it had cut the drama's original 22-episode order back to 13 episodes. Now in its seventh season, Medium premiered on NBC in 2005 before moving to CBS last year. The series has been averaging 7.1 million viewers on Fridays at 8/7c. Are you sad Medium is canceled? What were your favorite moments? Source Here

Patricia Arquette: Medium is Canceled

Patricia Arquette says the current season Medium will be its last.  "We got canceled," the 42-year-old told Entertainment Weekly. The star's comment arrives a month after CBS announced it had cut the supernatural drama's original 22-episode order back to 13 episodes. Although the network has yet to confirm Medium's fate, Arquette said she's excited to see what is planned for the series finale. "I was trying to get information from the writers about the last episode," Arquette told the magazine. "I don't know what it's going to be, but they're really excited about it. They're like, 'We're just going to burn the whole thing down!'" Arquette, who won an Emmy for her performance on the show in 2005, says she's not looking forward to saying goodbye. "It's been a great time. I love that time in my life," she said. Now in its seventh season, Medium premiered on NBC in 2005 before moving to CBS last year. The series has been averaging 7.1 million viewers on Fridays at 8/7c. Source Here

CBS Cuts Medium Order; Is Series' End Imminent?

Is Medium nearing its end — again? CBS has reduced the series' order from 22 to 13 episodes, which may be the show's last, according to Variety. Starring Patricia Arquette, Medium was canceled by NBC in 2009 before it was picked up by CBS. Now in its seventh season, the supernatural drama's most recent outing pulled 6.5 million viewers and a 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic. The move gives CBS more room for its new midseason series including Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, Chaos and Live to Dance. The network picked up full seasons of all five freshman shows last week.
