Melrose Place: Preview its March Return - Featured

I have this feeling that absence really does make the heart grow fonder, because I can't remember if I actually like the new Melrose Place and so I'm starting to lean more towards "like" than simply "tolerate because Tuesday night TV just bores me". This is dangerous. The show's been on hiatus since the tail end of 2009 and The CW has released a new promo with some new footage. I think they want to remind us that Heather Locklear is back on the show. Also, half-naked people are as well. Melrose Place returns with all new episodes on March 9. Source & Preview

Cancellation Buzz: 'One Tree Hill' and 'Melrose Place' May Get Canceled - Featured

The CW has begun separating which shows will be back for another season and which are not. One Tree Hill and "Melrose Place" are unfortunately found among the uncertain pile since the execs are not exactly pleased with their ratings. Spoiler TV is running a story that the network is ready to renew "Gossip Girl", "Smallville", "Supernatural", "The Vampire Diaries", "90210" and "America's Next Top Model". The official announcement of the pick-up reportedly will be made next month. In the meantime, "One Tree Hill" which has survived seven seasons is in jeopardy since some of the contracts are "messy". Even if it will come back for season 8, there will be some budget cuts and axed cast or crew. However, SoapNet would be its safety net should it get canceled. "Melrose Place" has an even slimmer chance to come back. The remake show has been struggling with rating and although Heather Locklear's involvement raked in additional viewers, the network is not fully satisfied. It is most likely to get canceled but international interest is available. Decision will be made in May. One show is in the middle of things. Life UneXpected which gets a good acceptance upon its premiere this midseason will have to show a steady rating first before The CW can lay down the verdict. Nevertheless, Spoiler TV said the execs are leaning heavily toward a renewal for another midseason. Source Here

Melrose Place and 90210: A Look Ahead

It may not seem that way, but Melrose Place (2009) and 90210 really will return to The CW at some point. Both shows will finally air new episodes on March 9. While the latter has at least made recent headlines via a slew of casting news - the most notable, of course, Rob Estes' imminent departure - all has been quiet on the Melrose Place front. The CW has released a new video this week, though, one that teases a few scenes and storyline ahead. Below, for example, get a quick look at Nick Zano in his new role as a doctor on the show... Lots of Sex: Coming to Melrose Place!

The last time Melrose Place viewers saw Katie Cassidy as Ella Simms, she was being stripped down to her black underwear by Jonah and... sorry, we lost our train of thought. That might be happening a lot more to male fans of the show when it finally returns to The CW on March 9. Just listen to Cassidy's answer when asked what's on tap for the show: "I can tell you that there's lots of sex happening... Ella's getting some - maybe from one, maybe from more."
