Mia Wasikowska is an Australian actress, born in 1990 in Australia's capital city, Canberra. She originally was studying ballet, but in 2006 she decided to focus primarily as an actress. As a result, she was nominated for an AFI award in the category, Young Actor awards.
Mia is currently working in the United States in the HBO series, In Treatment, and was recently announced to play Alice in Tim Burton's adaption of Alice in Wonderland, where Mia will star alongside big names such as Johnny Depp.
