Michael James Vogel (born 17 July 1979) is an American actor and former model. Born in Abington, PA, the young actor grew up in the town of Warminster, PA. In his early adulthood, Vogel spent a year commuting back and forth to New York City for acting and modeling auditions. He first made an impression on audiences with a memorable recurring role as Dean Peramotti on the Fox series, "Grounded for Life," before going on to appear in a variety of different genre movies. Since 2001, Vogel has appeared in several notable films and series since 2001 including Poseidon, Grind, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Rumor Has It, The Deaths of Ian Stone and Cloverfield. He married his wife Courtney Vogel in January 2003.
