It is mainly shown on YTV and Radio-Canada (Canada), CBBC (Great Britain) and the Cartoon Network (Poland). The series follows the extraordinary adventures of 10-year-old Mona Parker (a.k.a. Mona the Vampire) and her friends as they battle a new foe of the supernatural in every episode. The adventures actually all happen in Mona and her friends' imaginations, as they deal with every day events in their small town.

The show was produced in Montreal by Cinar (now Cookie Jar Entertainment), in association with Alphanim.
