Season 1, Episode 16 - "Sonata"

A human is killed by a vampire in the heat of passion, causing Mick and Beth to face the ultimate consequences of a vampire-human relationship. The investigation of the murder puts Mick and Josef's secret identities in jeopardy, forcing them to join forces with the other vampires in Los Angeles to keep their secret safe.

Major mistake on behalf of the TV companies. This vampire-crime mix truly glued me to the screen. I really like how the plot progresses, how it blends the vampire scene with an Anne Ricean sophistication and emotion. It's really well done.

Moonlight Summary
Moonlight is an American supernatural television drama created by Ron Koslow and Trevor Munson, who also serve as executive producers alongside Joel Silver, Gerard Bocaccio and Rod Holcomb. The show is a horror series that follows a private investigator, Mick St. John (Alex O'Loughlin), whose bride, Coraline (Shannyn Sossamon), turned him into a vampire on the couple's wedding night 60 years prior; he struggles in the present day with his love for a mortal woman, Beth Turner (Sophia Myles), and his dealings with other vampires in the city.
