TV ratings: 'Nikita' series finale is flat, CBS wins with reruns

Fast National ratings for Friday, Dec. 27, 2013"Nikita's" series finale might have been perfect, but it didn't draw any more than its season average of viewers. The CW drama didn't even get a Season 4 high from the show's final episode, "Canceled," which drew 813,000 viewers and a 0.6 rating/1 share in households. That was down from its second and third episodes in Season 4, though it was up from the season premiere and was a significant boost from the previous two episodes.Meanwhile, CBS continued its streak of running reruns -- this time "Undercover Boss" and "Garth Brooks Vegas" -- and won the night with both programs. "20/20" was down from last week for ABC, but was still the most-watched program of the night. NBC's special "What We Wasted Our Year On" hit soft with 4.4 million viewers and a 2.9 rating/5 share in households. CBS's average for the night was 5.2 million viewers and... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/12/tv-ratings-nikita-series-finale-is-flat-cbs-wins-with-reruns.html

'Nikita' series finale: Nikita and Michael almost didn't have a happy ending

"Nikita" series finale spoilers are contained in this article, so read on at your own risk. If there is one thing that can be said about "Nikita's" series finale, it's that it was perfect. After four seasons, showrunner Craig Silverstein found just the right way to wrap up his CW drama. Somewhat surprisingly, "Canceled's" final product wasn't always the way he planned the series to end. First and foremost, Silverstein never really wanted Nikita and Michael to have their happy Ecuador ending. Though we thought it was a fitting end for the couple, he would have liked to have kept them apart if he'd had a full season to build to that point. "I still think that there is a satisfying ending out there, one that I saw hazily, in which Nikita went off on her own and Michael got back to a normal life, which is something that he always wanted," Silverstein tells TVLine.... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/12/nikita-series-finale-nikita-and-michael-almost-didnt-have-a-happy-ending.html

'Nikita' series finale: Maggie Q, Shane West and more say goodbye

"Nikita" is coming to its series finale after four seasons of action. How does the cast feel about the end of the show? This interview with the actors -- Maggie Q, Shane West, Lyndsy Fonseca, Aaron Stanford and Devon Sawa -- has some answers.Although none of the actors could or would give away how "Nikita" would end, there were a few teases about what might be coming. Fonseca, for example, hinted that fans should be happy about what's coming. "It's not gonna be a cliffhanger, but it's not gonna be something where it's like 'Oh happy! Tied up in a big, pretty bow!'" the actress explained. "It feels good to have closure, but they're also going to ... I feel like I would, as a fan, be like, 'I wonder what that life's going to be like?' or 'Oh look! They're doing that!' You can still think about the characters."Maggie Q agreed that stories... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/12/nikita-series-finale-maggie-q-shane-west-and-more-say-goodbye.html

On the Set: Nikita Goes Out With a Bang

Never let it be said that Nikita wouldn't hurt a fly. The cast and crew are shooting the action drama's final fight scene — between Nikita ( Maggie Q ) and best frenemy Alex ( Lyndsy Fonseca ) — in a country estate outside Toronto. During a particularly intense take, a housefly alights atop a loaf of bread on the kitchen set. Prop guns are drawn, blanks are fired and blammo — a special-effects squib detonates inside the insect's meal, blowing dinner and diner to pieces. "Did you see that?" asks coexecutive producer Albert Kim, smacking his forehead while watching a replay over Maggie Q's shoulder. "Our effects crew always wants to blow up bread."       http://www.tvguide.com/News/Set-Nikita-Finale-1074969.aspx?rss=breakingnews
