Julie Benz Dishes on 'No Ordinary Family' Guest Stars Anthony Michael Hall, Tricia Helfer (VIDEO)

Julie Benz, the matriarch of the super-powered Powells, shared a few spoilers about 'No Ordinary Family' when she appeared on 'Good Morning America' (weekdays, 7AM ET on ABC). But she didn't divulge every secret. In tomorrow's episode, Anthony Michael Hall "plays a man who's stronger and more invincible than Jim Powell (Michael Chiklis)," she said. And the following week, Tricia Helfer plays "a villain with the power of love." But will viewers ever know exactly how the Powells' plane crashing in the Amazon led to their unique abilities? "You will find out how it happened and why -- [but] I can't tell you!" Benz said.

On February 22, " No Ordinary Family " will welcome a new villain in the form of   Anthony Michael Hall . Daphne's boyfriend, Chris, steals the trilsettum serum from the Powell house and injects his wheelchair-bound father, Roy (Hall), with disastrous results.   Meanwhile, Jim's feelings of guilt are overwhelming when, during a fight with a thug, he diverts a bullet that accidentally hits a boy - causing life-threatening harm. No Ordinary Family Preview: Super Mom vs. Super Dad!

It's totally on between the Powells next week on No Ordinary Family . Returning from a two-week hiatus, the series will pit super mom against super dad on "No Ordinary Double Standard," as Stephanie take issue with Jim believing he has better abilities for crime-fighting that she possesses. Lucy Lawless to Recur on No Ordinary Family

In case the casting of Tricia Helfer on No Ordinary Family wasn't satisfying enough for Battlestar Galactica fans, the first-year ABC series has reached into the Cylon world once again: Lucy Lawless will anchor a multi-episode arc later this year, TV Line confirms, portraying a woman with a dangerous agenda who may become a nemesis for thee Powells. Lawless has been booked for five episodes, after which she'll return to shooting Spartacus: Blood and Sand . No Ordinary Family producers are hoping her presence will spur a ratings boost and ensure a second season for the series. It's squarely on the renewal bubble these days.

Tricia Helfer to Visit NO ORDINARY FAMILY

Tricia Helfer has booked a guest starring role on NO ORDINARY FAMILY . TVLine reports the former Dark Blue and Battlestar Galactica actress will appear in at least the seventeenth episode of ABC’s super hero dramedy. Helfer, who will play a “sexy and mysterious woman” who might have some special abilities, confirmed her gig via Twitter: Had the cast read thru for @NoOrdinaryFamily today. Fun. Looking forward to playing a goodie…wait, baddie…s**t what am I : ) The episode’s script was written by Ali Adler, who has written for Helfer before: she wrote the Chuck episode, “Chuck Versus the Broken Heart,” in which Helfer played CIA Agent Alex Forrest. 'NCIS' Draws Record Audience; 'No Ordinary Family,' 'V' Hit Lows

Talk about polar opposites. While ABC's Tuesday night lineup hit or tied series lows, while CBS' NCIS drew a record audience. All three ABC dramas were down, with No Ordinary Family dropping 21% from its last original (5.5 million, 1.5 rating/4 share in 18-49 demo). V, down 10% tying a low, also struggled (5.8 million, 1.9/5) and at 10 p.m., Detroit 1-8-7, down 8%, drew 5.3 million (1.1/3). Read More...
