Summary
O Brother, Where Art Thou Premiere: May 13, 2000 (Cannes Film Festival, France) O Brother, Where Art Thou is the Coen Brothers' adaption of Homer's Odyssey to the middle of the Great Depression. It revolves around three prisoners who escape from a chain gang in order to find a $1.2 million treasure that one of the convicts, Ulysses Everett McGill (George Clooney), claims to have buried before his incarcaration. Chased by the police, the three set out on an adventerous journey through Mississippi.
