Off the Map Promo: "Es Un Milagro"

These doctors came to the jungle to save lives, but never imagined they'd be saving their own . Okay, it was probably inevitable for a Shonda Rhimes show. But that makes for a really good line in a promo, we have to admit, and next week looks like a wild ride. After last night's Off the Map episode concluded in shocking fashion, the aftermath of the Medvac helicopter crash in the jungle forces the team to spring into action. The lives of their patients and the pilots are on the line, while Ryan searches for a missing girl and Lily learns a shocking secret Mateo's been keeping in "Es Un Milagro" ... http://www.tvfanatic.com/2011/02/off-the-map-promo-es-un-milagro/

TV Ratings: 'Idol' gains over two hour show, 'Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior' debuts healthily

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Feb 16, 2011 "American Idol" was the victor again on another soft Wednesday. Though the first hour started lower than "Idol" usually does, more viewers tuned in for hour 2 of the group auditions. CBS' Forest Whitaker pilot "Criminal Minds" debuted with a solid 12.9 million viewers, helping to give CBS an edge over ABC in the key demos. "Mr. Sunshine," which debuted high last week, lost over 30% of its audience for its second episode, which featured a stunt casting move with pop star Nick Jonas playing a teen star who gives Matthew Perry a hard time. Apparently, the Jonas Brothers fans aren't Nielsen families.FOX drew an average of 22.8 million viewers with a 12.7 rating/20 share in households. It was followed by CBS (12.3 million, 7.4/12), ABC (6.6 million, 4.1/7), and NBC (4.8 million, 3.0/5). The CW's reruns trailed with 1.9 million viewers and a 0.6/1 share. In the 18-49... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/02/tv-ratings-idol-gains-over-two-hour-show-criminal-minds-suspect-behavior-debuts-healthily.html

Zach Gilford Gets Goofy on 'Off the Map' Set (VIDEO)

The most nail-biting dramas often have the funniest sets. When long days are filled with take after take of someone dying on the operating table, downtime naturally becomes prank time. So when I visited the 'Off the Map' set on a particularly busy day -- shooting a scene of the surgical aftermath of a hang-gliding accident, which you'll see at the end of the season -- I wasn't surprised to find the cast giggly, playful and ready to have fun between shots. But who's the king of the jokes? The funniest when the cameras stop rolling? There's no doubt that man is 'Friday Night Lights' alum Zach Gilford. And as I learned in not one but three of my other cast interviews, he doesn't always wait for the cameras to stop before popping in with some goofball antics. Check out this adorable behind-the-scenes look at the cast of 'Off the Map' (Wednesdays, 10PM ET on ABC) after the jump. http://www.tvsquad.com/2011/02/16/zach-gilford-off-the-map-set-visit-goofball/

'Off the Map': Rachelle Lefevre shows us her imaginary machete

Up until now, Ryan (Rachelle Lefevre) has been the most baggage-free character on "Off the Map." She doesn't have a spouse in a coma, a dead fiance or an addiction that demands she have dental work done without any painkillers... but she does have a secret. And in the Feb. 16 episode, "I'm Good," we find out what it is.Zap2it recently visited the actress on the show's Hawaiian set, and though she's making us hold out a little longer to learn the cause of Ryan's mysterious cough, she does tell us how it all comes out."If she seems non-tortured, then I'm doing my job," she says of her character's quiet suffering. "The person it gets revealed to, interestingly enough, is Jason George, who plays Otis. He and I go off to do a really, really interesting case together, and through that, he kind of puts it together and figures out what's wrong with me. OFF THE MAP’s Nicholas Gonzalez Interview

Nicholas Gonzalez grabbed the attention of television viewers when he starred as Alex Santiago in Showtime’s heralded drama series Resurrection Boulevard , and he has since worked steadily in both television and film. He starred in the short-lived FOX drama Mental and had a recurring role in the Melrose Place reboot. Now he’s joined ABC’s OFF THE MAP as Mateo, a mysterious stranger Lily met in a cantina and later had to treat for a bullet wound. We recently talked to Nicholas about Off the Map and how he almost missed out on the role, what he looks for in a role and why Mental was such a disappointment. 'Off the Map' 1.06 Preview: Ryan's Secret Revealed

In the next episode of "Off the Map", the doctors face one of their toughest challenges so far when they are pushed to operate without medication help. When a robbery leaves the clinic without any medication, Otis has to face his personal demons with sobriety in order to save a patient, and Ryan meets a young patient with a disease she is far too familiar with.  Speaking of Ryan, this would be a very big episode of her. "She has this great backstory that is finally revealed in episode 6 - it's a wowza, cartoon eyes coming out of their sockets moment that they told me in that first meeting. The minute they told me why she was this impulsive free spirit I was very interested," Rachelle Lefevre who portrays the character said in an interview with NY Post.   Read More... http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00038429.html

'Off the Map' Stars Tease Tonight's Underwater Amputation (VIDEO)

TV shows -- especially medical dramas -- love to tease that they're doing something you've never seen on TV before, but I actually think that's true of this week's 'Off the Map.' And I've seen a lot. 'Off the Map' (Wednesdays, 10PM ET on ABC) has already featured a zip-line accident, tuberculosis, a severe electrocution and a large anaconda wrapped around a man, seemingly suffocating him, but actually keeping his insides from coming out ... and they've only aired four episodes! This week, their patient runs into trouble while scuba diving, and the docs have to perform an impromptu underwater amputation to save her. It's like 'Grey's Anatomy' meets '127 Hours,' with scuba gear. http://www.tvsquad.com/2011/02/09/off-the-map-cast-interviews-season-1-episode-5-preview/
