Sophomore Jed Perry (Milo Ventimiglia) moves from his hometown to California and just before he leaves, his girlfriend Lisa dumps him and he swears off girls for life. Although, he starts his new school and finds out it's all girls apart from him and two other guys; Cary (Chris Evans) and Phil (Kyle Howard). Jed ends up falling for two girls, Kate (Allison Mack), a smart pretty girl who is more like a friend and Miranda (Margot Finley) an experienced Junior who is a musicain. Cary falls for Stella (Lindsay McKeon) even though at the start of the series she comes off as that she hates all men and Phil falls for Kate and is upset when Jed and her start dating.
