Watch a Teaser for the New Season of Parenthood

Parenthood comes back September 26, and with it, a new season of Braverman blathering. In this far-too-brief trailer, we see that Christina is healthy, that Ray Romano is indeed back , and that Amber has decided that the volatile yet very lovable Ryan is somehow marriage material. Aaahh, Amber, you are so young and lovely and wonderful but maybe not quite ready for marriage and neither is your outburst-prone boyfriend. Also, Sarah and Amber are sporting nearly identical layered cuts and super-straight blowouts, which is not really plot relevant, but it seemed worth mentioning.   http://www.vulture.com/2013/08/parenthood-teaser-season-five.html

New 'Parenthood' Casting Could Mean Trouble For Amber & Ryan

It looks like Amber (Mae Whitman) may have a lot on her plate this season. All American-Rejects frontman Tyson Ritter has booked a multi-episode arc on "Parenthood" Season 5, a source close to the actor-musician revealed to The Huffington Post. Not much is known about the character Ritter (who also appeared in "The House Bunny") will be playing, but he will be recording at the Luncheonette. Could he get in the way of things between Amber and Ryan (Matt Lauria)? That remains to be seen. Lauria is returning to the NBC series this September , and although the duo had a rocky relationship throughout Season 4 they ended the season on a good note. And Whitman has been supportive of the Amber/Ryan saga, even though it's been difficult on both characters. Read More... http://feeds.huffingtonpost.com/~r/HP/Entertainment/~3/jQTrsY-oVm4/tyson-ritter-parenthood_n_3697538.html

Jason Ritter Previews Us and Them, Ponders Parenthood Future

Yesterday at the Television Critics Association in Beverly Hills, the cast of Parenthood offered up a number of Season 5 teases and tidbits. And while we couldn't be happier to have a full season of the Bravermans ahead - kicking off Thursday, September 26! - some of us are still not thrilled that Sarah chose Hank instead of her fiance Mark, played by Jason Ritter. We caught up with Ritter recently at the Paley Center in Los Angeles for the launch of Web Therapy's new season, talking to the star about whether he'd like to go back for a different ending with Mark and Sarah, while also gathering scoop on his new Fox sitcom with Alexis Bledel, Us and Them . 'Parenthood' books another 'Friday Night Lights' alum

It's always nice to see some familiar faces from one beloved show pop up on another beloved show. Jason Katims is no stranger to bringing "Friday Nights Lights" alumni to his NBC drama "Parenthood," with Jurnee Smollett joining the fold for Season 5. TV Line reports that Smollett will have a major recurring role for the upcoming full season, playing Heather Hall, a smart, up-and-coming political operative who is hired by Kristina Braverman to be her campaign manager. Kristina running for political office is a major Season 5 storyline, in case you hadn't heard. We would imagine after beating cancer, the political arena will be a piece of cake. "Parenthood" returns to NBC on Thursday, Sept. 26.... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/07/parenthood-books-another-friday-night-lights-alum.html

Parenthood Season 5: Who May Get Engaged?

The cast of Parenthood gathered at the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills yesterday, teasing reporters on the scene with a spoiler-filled Season 5 promo. There was Kristina with a new haircut… Jasmine and Crosby with their new baby… and Amber and Ryan discussion marriage!   "It's a big decision to take a step like that when you're young and the things that come out after you make a choice like that and you start to feel settled I think would be interesting," Mae Whitman said of Ryan and Amber's possible engagement. "It's interesting to see how different questions come in in a relationship when you're adult and it's more serious…[to see] if they will grow together or separately."  Read More... http://www.tvfanatic.com/2013/07/parenthood-season-5-who-may-get-engaged/
