Timothy Omundson wants to wait for a 'Psych' reunion

If the "Psych" movie creator Steve Franks has teased is still a possibility, Timothy Omundson doesn't hope it happens in the immediate future. Instead, he'd rather allow some time to pass so that the reunion -- movie or otherwise -- would have more of an impact."Creatively I would like a little time to pass for the characters, because for me it would be much more interesting to revisit those characters in a few years, maybe five years," Omundson tells Zap2it. "That to me seems an absolute plausible thing. Why wouldn't you do that? So many people loved that show.""Psych" aired its series finale on March 26, 2014, and Omundson says he hasn't heard anything about a reunion actually happening. "I've heard that Steve Franks was kicking around a movie idea, and certainly as it was closer to the end we had all talked about it and the network was talking about it, but after that... http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Zap2it/~3/AFMdBFbkd1Y/timothy_omundson_psych_reunion_movie_wait-2015-01

'Psych' series finale gives 'another world to go into,' says star Dule Hill

The "Psych" series finale, titled "The Break-Up," was anything but a break-up for fans. Instead, it was a beautiful way to send off the beloved SBPD characters -- Lassiter running his own department (and destroying Shawn's confessional DVD), Shawn proposing to Juliet and, of course, Shawn and Gus staying together.Star Dule Hill tells Zap2it that it really couldn't have ended any other way. "You've been on the journey with these two brothers over eight season and to have them end up in two separate places would have been disheartening, not only for the cast but also the 'Psych'-Os, the fans out there."He adds, "I was glad that it ended up being that they did not split up and be in two separate locations. It helps give us another world to go into."The world he refers to is the talks that are already emerging about a "Psych" movie, which creator Steve Franks and the cast say... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2014/03/psych-series-finale-gives-another-world-to-go-into-says-star-dule-hill.html

'Psych' series finale live 'After Pshow' hands out superlatives

"Psych" said goodbye with "The Break-Up" Wednesday (March 26), which star Dule Hill tells Zap2it opens up a whole new world for a possible follow-up movie. But after the episode aired, the cast assembled for a live "After Pshow" on USA. It was adorable to watch the cast members reminisce, but the best part was a game they made the actors play where they had to answer questions about each other to see who got the most votes for various superlatives:Biggest potty mouth: Tim OmundsonBiggest freak-out over a lost cell phone: Dule Hill ("I'm a Tweet-aholic," says Hill)Whose trailer do you least like to visit: Corbin Bernsen ("It smells," says Kirsten Nelson)Most likely to bring dog to set: James Roday, Maggie Lawson and Tim Omundson tiedThere were also some terrific messages from past guest stars: Ralph Macchio, Corbin Bleu, Cary Elwes, Nestor Carbonell, Lori Loughlin, Steve Howey, Rachael Leigh Cook, James Brolin, Judd Nelson and... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2014/03/psych-series-finale-live-after-pshow-hands-out-superlatives.html

'Psych' series finale: James Roday says 'The Mentalist' will 'keep us in the zeitgeist'

In an upscale chain restaurant on a busy road in Manhattan Beach, Calif., not far from the production offices of the USA Network comedy-drama "Psych," and roughly 1,286 miles from the show's filming location in Vancouver, Canada, star James Roday and series executive producer Steve Franks get together for lunch with Zap2it to discuss not staying too long at the party."For a lot of people," quips Franks, "our second episode was too long at the party."Obviously not for everyone, because the show airs it eighth-season, and series finale on Wednesday, March 26, followed by the "Psych After Show," a one-hour special hosted by Kevin Pereira ("Attack of the Show") and featuring a Q&A with the cast and Franks, in front of a live studio audience in Los Angeles. For those who need to go do some binge viewing in a hurry, "Psych" features Roday (today sporting a full beard that's about a half-inch short of edging... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2014/03/psych-series-finale-james-roday-says-the-mentalist-will-keep-us-in-the-zeitgeist.html

Psych Stars and Creator Say Goodbye and Leave the Door Open for a Possible Movie

In the past few years, TV shows have made an event of saying goodbye. Following in the footsteps of the heavily promoted final season of Lost , it's become customary for series ranging from serialized sci-fi ( Fringe ) to long-running half-hour comedies ( How I Met Your Mother ) to give their loyal followers a heads-up that the end is nigh. So what took Psych so long to confirm that Season 8 would be its last? "It's no great mystery now that we knew we were making the...   http://www.tvguide.com/News/Psych-Series-Finale-1079680.aspx?rss=breakingnews

'Psych' series finale: It was 'always about' the Shawn and Gus bromance

When USA's detective series "Psych" closes up shop after eight seasons on Wednesday, Mar. 26, one of TV's most enduring best-friend relationships disappears with it.In a TV landscape littered with human interactions that are confrontational, violent, sexual or all of the above, stories focusing on true platonic friendship are increasingly rare. And even where they exist, people often feel the need to embellish, as if calling a strong, loyal friendship a "bromance" somehow makes it more interesting. In "Psych," faux-psychic investigator Shawn Spencer (James Roday) and his faithful partner, pharmaceutical representative Burton "Gus" Guster (Dule Hill), have been friends since boyhood."What gave us a lot of the latitude that we had," says Roday, sitting at lunch with Zap2it, in the company of series creator Steve Franks, "was the seed of childhood best friends. It's one of the purest, most enduring relationships that you'll have in your life, when you have a friend that you've known from... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2014/03/psych-series-finale-it-was-always-about-the-shawn-and-gus-best-friendship.html
