A wounded messenger from King Richard escapes from Locksley Manor where he is being held captive by Guy of Gisbourne. He, of course, ends up in the arms of Robin Hood. In his last words, he tells Robin that King Richard needs him in the Holy Land and mutters the word Lardner.
