Last fall, the twisted minds behind the stop-motion animated series Robot Chicken put their signature spin on the heroes and villains of DC Comics in the Robot Chicken: DC Comics Special. The guys are at it again for a follow-up special expected to air this fall. Collider was invited to a special behind-the-scenes look at the creative process of scripting the show, in which the writers are subjected to a grueling daily extraction of creativity and humor fueled by long-expired Hostess cupcakes in which only the absolute cream of the comedy crop makes the cut. Egos are bruised, personal ailments are dragged into the spotlight for laughs and beloved superheroes are defiled in all new ways. And it all works. READ MORE...

'Robot Chicken' tackles 'Street Fighter'

Leave it to Seth Green and the hoodlums over at  Robot Chicken  to dredge up old school icons of pop culture. Their latest subject,  Street Fighter , hasn’t been topical in a decade, but that doesn’t mean it’s safe from stop-motion skewering. This clip imagines what it might actually  be like to organize the game’s assortment of beef-headed brawlers and otherworldly ape men. Ryu assumes the unfortunate role of talent agent/tour manager, desperately trying to coordinate the other characters’ fight schedules with the help of an information packet. The other guys, of course, are clueless dimwits and utterly helpless – series baddie M. Bison somehow winds up inside a game of Q*bert – leaving Ryu in a state of Ari Gold-like frustration. Hats off,  Robot Chicken , for making  Street Fighter  relevant (or at least funny) once again. http://popwatch.ew.com/2012/10/10/robot-chicken-tackles-street-fighter/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+ew%2Fpopwatch+%28Entertainment+Weekly%2FEW.com%27s%3A+PopWatch%29&utm_content=Google+Reader
