Is it just me or did Sam in the premier, seem not too broken up by Dean's death, I mean he didn't apppear to care as much as he did in the episode of Mystery Spot. What do you guys think?

Summary
When Molly Kagan, played by Deborah Messing, is dumped by her Hollywood movie studio exec. husband, she's shunned from Hollywood society on USA's Starter Wife. She goes to stay at her friend, Joan McAllister's summer home to regroup and start over. There she meets mysterious beach hottie, Sam, played by Stephen Moyer. He saves her life when she gets in over her head trying to kiack in the ocean and when she thanks him for saving her life, he says, "Let's see if it's a life worth saving."
Sam turns out to be a homeless ex-investment banker which Molly finds out after a few passionate beach kisses and some nasty comments from her ex-Hollywood friends. He may also be involved in the disappearance of Lou Manahan, Molly's ex's boss and another possible love interest for Molly. Sam looks to be developing into a very intriguing character...
