Showtime Announces Premiere Date for Shameless, Californication, House of Lies

Showtime has announced premiere dates for veteran comedy Californication , buzzworthy drama Shameless , and newcomer House of Lies , but there's a twist of sorts. They're all on the same night. On January 8th, the network will first check up on the Gallagher family on Shameless  at 9:00, followed by introducing the world of management consulting on House of Lies  at 10:00 and finishing the night out at 10:30 by time warping a few years into the future with Hank Moody and company on Californication . Last year, the network did a similar premiere strategy, only it included Brit-com Episodes instead of House of Lies . No word yet on when Episodes will be premiering, but its order was booted up from 7 to 9 episodes for its second season and co-star Matt LeBlanc recently picked up an Emmy nomination for his role as a parody of himself. 'Shameless' Casts Possible New Competition for Lip Gallagher

It wouldn’t be  Shameless  if the series didn’t constantly throw challenges at the kids. The Showtime series has just cast a new neighborhood bad boy who’ll probably challenge Lip Gallagher’s ( Jeremy Allen White ) “friends with benefits” relationship with the damaged Karen ( Laura Wiggins ). Shameless Season 2 Casting Scoop: Welcome, Mandy and Mark

Two new characters will be featured on season two of Shameless . The first will be Mandy. Casting notes describe her as a "street smart neighborhood girl." Look for her to come from a broken home and become a good friend of Ian's. The second will be Mark, a recurring 27-year hunk who has an over-developed sense of self worth. 'Shameless' finale: Frank's sins and Fiona's choice

Showtime's "Shameless" finale was an endless stream of striking events and even as the season ticked to its final moments, it never took the easy road.Frank (William H. Macy) found himself in a situation he knew he couldn't win. It didn't matter that Karen (Laura Wiggins) took advantage of him when he barely understood what was going on. Something had to happen to make him realize that he had made a string of bad decisions in life. Were we to believe that Frank had no moral center? Was he simply the deadbeat, drunk dad who had turned all his responsibilities over to Fiona (Emmy Rossum)? Had the producers decided he was 100% unlikeable? Obviously not. That would be too easy.Frank spent the entire episode racked with guilt. Even his drunken ramblings tried to make sense of the fact that he had sex with his girlfriend's daughter who also happened to be his son's girlfriend. And...
