Shipwrecked is a British reality tv show. Originally broadcast for three series from 2000 to 2002 in a social observation format, the show returned in 2006 with a substantially different, competition based format for its fourth and subsequent series, entitled Shipwrecked: Battle of the Islands. A group of ten strangers are placed on two different islands and must persuade weekly new arrivals to join their island in an attempt to outnumber their rivals and win a share of the Ã?â??Ã?£100,000 prize. The competing tribes are named the Sharks and Tigers. There is a weekly beach party in which the previous weeks guests have to choose an island to live on and new arrivals are introduced.
