'So You Think You Can Dance' Recap: Which Dancers Light up the Big Apple?

So You Think You Can Dance has seen some amazing dancers audition this season. I think the talent this year is incredible, and I believe that eliminating the choreography round has pushed the competitors to try harder to get a coveted ticket to the Vegas rounds. I must admit that I was not thrilled with the changes to the judging panel this season, and I miss Mary "Hot Tamale Train" Murphy a lot. I do think that the trio of Nigel Lythgoe, Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo seems a bit more comfortable together.   Read More... http://www.buddytv.com/articles/so-you-think-you-can-dance/so-you-think-you-can-dance-rec-56788.aspx

Engaged 'SYTYCD' couple Kelly MacCoy and Tyrell Noll both make it to Las Vegas

"So You Think You Can Dance" doesn't just produce world-class dancers and choreographers -- it also makes true love!During Monday (June 8) night's episode, a couple showed up to the Detroit auditions with an extra special love story. Apparently Kelly MacCoy -- a "stage" dancer -- and Tyrell Noll -- a "street" dancer -- met in line during last season's auditions and are now engaged. Basically, they took one look at each other knew it was meant to be.With love on their side, they both came to show the judges what they're made of. MacCoy took to the stage first and performed a beautiful contemporary dance to Celine Dion's "A New Day Has Come." She instantly won Nigel Lythgoe over with her technique and feet. 'So You Think You Can Dance's' Jason Derulo: 'I was a little afraid to do this'

Jason Derulo doesn't just think he can dance. He knows he can.The singer has proven it in elaborately staged videos and in live performances, and instead of spending the summer touring on the strength of his recent string of hits -- including "Trumpets," "Wiggle" and "Talk Dirty" -- he'll be joining veteran choreographer and "American Idol" alum Paula Abdul as newcomers to the judges' table beside returnee Nigel Lythgoe on "So You Think You Can Dance." Cat Deeley also will be back as host as the FOX competition starts its 12th season Monday (June 1)."I was a little afraid to do this," Derulo admits toZap2it. "It was a lot to take on, but it's a positive show. There's so much give-and-take, and I've learned so much from being with the show already. I'm able to show much of what I've learned through my career and give the contestants little tidbits."New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Detroit... http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Zap2it/~3/8EF7Er3DC7g/so_you_think_you_can_dance_new_judge_jason_derulo_sytycd-2015-06
