Now that our clocks have jumped forward an hour, Fox is gearing up for warmer weather by announcing premiere dates for three of its summer reality staples. 'So You Think You Can Dance' will bow first, with its eighth season debuting on Thursday, May 26, and continuing on Wednesday, June 1, before settling into its permanent time slot the following day. The dancing competition will be paired with repeats of Fox's musical hit, 'Glee' (how appropriate). Tuesdays will house a one-two punch of cooking competition, with last August's amateur chef competition 'Masterchef' premiering Mon., June 6 and running in its permanent Tuesday at 8PM time slot starting June 7. On July 19, Gordon Ramsay's other cooking-related reality series, 'Hell's Kitchen,' will debut its ninth season at 9PM. Grab your ear plugs: Mary Murphy will return to So You Think You Can Dance as a resident judge for the show's upcoming eighth season, Fox announced Tuesday. "I am thrilled and already dancing in my seat to be back as a permanent judge this season, which I'm sure will be the best ever," Murphy said in a statement. The shrill 52-year-old dancer and choreographer first returned to the judges' table for the Season 7 finale after an eight-month absence. During Season 7, she was replaced on the panel by longtime So You Think You Can Dance choreographer Mia Michaels, who left in November after just one season as a judge. To Read More Click Here.
Tired of Tea Party politics flavoring your reality dance competition? Don't worry because the latest search for America's Favorite Dancer is underway. Dream-chasing dancers and hip-hop hopefuls gathered at the Brooklyn Academy of Music on November 16 to audition for the upcoming season of So You Think You Can Dance. Fox's hit series returns next year with a new and improved format. Last season, the producers played with the show's set up, featuring 11 finalists teamed with All-Stars from past seasons. Now the Top 20 will be back, with the All-Stars introduced after the pool is down to 10. Show co-creator and judge Nigel Lythgoe hopes the new format will give audiences the "best of both worlds." Lauren Froderman may have won "So You Think You Can Dance," but it definitely feels like the Top 3 shared in that victory. We catch up backstage with Lauren, Kent Boyd and Robert Roldan to get their immediate reactions. We also find out their favorite routines from the show that they'd like to perform on tour. We're guessing that some of the numbers performed on Wednesday's (Aug. 11) episode will make an appearance. Robert's stunning "Fix You" dance choreographed by Travis Wall is a shoo-in, right? We're still bummed that Alex Wong's NappyTabs hip-hop routine won't be included, but NappyTabs have done a lot of good work this season, so it's just a matter of picking something. Source Here

At last, we've come to the end. This is the final episode of this season's 'So You Think You Can Dance' (Thu., 8PM ET on Fox). So now, we get to learn who the ultimate winner is. ... But before we got to that, we had a special unexpected guest. Guest Ellen DeGeneres showed up to do a special performance with Twitch, and did a hip-hop dance routine. And wow; we were pretty impressed with Ellen's skills. She's really good! And then, we finally learned who the actual winner of the show was. It was down to Kent and Lauren. Who would take home the prize? The answer is ... [Spoiler alert.] ... Lauren! Sweet. We've kind of been on Team Lauren for the entire season. So, this was a good victory for this particular 'TV Squad' blogger. But do you guys think the judges made the right choice? Should Lauren have won it all? Source & Video
