In a world where the dead are transformed into books...
When a person dies, the soul separates from its body and turned into a book. Written in that book are all the memories of that soul's life. For anyone who touches that book, the dead person's past can be relived.
It is in the Library of Bantorra, created by Bantorra, the God of the Past, that all excavated books are stored. It is run by an elite organization known as the Armed Librarians. Under the direction of Acting Chief Librarian Hamuts Meseta, all Armed Librarians possess an extraordinary combination of encyclopedic knowledge and fighting skill. For this reason, it is said, the Armed Librarians are the most difficult profession to enter in the world.
Tatakau Shisho - The Book of Bantorra Summary
Tatakau Shisho - The Book of Bantorra is set in a world where the souls of the dead are turned into books and stored in a library. A young man named Colio Tonies becomes caught up in the war over control of these books when he is brainwashed by a mysterious organization and sent to kill the world's most powerful librarian. Things get a bit more complicated when he falls in love, in spite of the bomb in his chest that is supposed to kill him if he fails.
