'The Big Bang Theory' Star Goes Vegan In New PETA Ad

Mayim Bialik, of the award-winning show "The Big Bang Theory," speaks out in support of a vegan lifestyle in a new ad with animal rights organization, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals . For the ad, Bialik plays a 1950s housewife happily tossing a piece of steak into a trash can under the sign "It's a No-Brainer: Go Vegan!" A vegan in her own life, Bialik talks with PETA about how she decided to embrace a vegan lifestyle. "I think the most significant shift for me was I used to feel guilty," Bialik told PETA. "Even as a child, I felt very guilty about eating animals and never knew that there was something to do about it. And as I got older, it became clearer that there are things that I can do and choices I can make." Becoming vegan was a natural decision for Bialik, one that she says has changed her life for the better. "I've never had a sinus infection or been on antibiotics since cutting out dairy ...I've noticed that my true seasonal allergies are much less severe now that I've cut out dairy which is amazing to me." 'The Big Bang Theory' travels to space in Season 6 premiere

The Season 6 premiere of "The Big Bang Theory" traveled far, far away -- to outer space, in fact. When we picked up with the gang at the start of the episode, Howard had made it to the International Space Station, but even he couldn't escape the relationship drama that plagued every couple on the show. He had words with both his mother and his new wife, Bernadette, about their plan to move out. In the end, he lied to both of them, but he won't have to face the consequences if all goes as planned and he stays in space forever.PHOTOS: Fall TV's must-see new shows Meanwhile, back on Earth, Penny bleached Amy's mustache for her date with Sheldon -- which Raj crashed, much to her surprise. When Raj found out he was actually with them on their anniversary date, he acted totally appropriately by ordering champagne and three glasses before hitting the road...

The Big Bang Theory Sneak Peek: Wolowitz in Space

Wolowitz has finally traveled to space in The Big Bang Theory, but he'll soon come to realize that being far away from home doesn't mean you can escape your controlling mother. While on the spaceship, Wolowitz has an opportunity to chat with his mom (although, not through Skype because she refuses to go near a computer in case she catches a "computer virus").  Then he brings up a touchy issue: he and Bernadette want to go start their life together and move out.  His mother seems to be a travel agent for guilt trips and convinces him that leaving her would not be in anyone's best interest. Watch a sneak peek below from the season premiere of The Big Bang Theory, airing on Thursday, September 27 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.  You can browse through photos for the premiere here.
