The Clique

The Clique is an upcoming direct-to-DVD film based on the popular teens series by author Lisi Harrison. The film is a production of Warner Premiere with Tyra Banks as executive producer. Filming began in February 2008 in Rhode Island and ended on March 2008. According to the movie's website, the film is set for release in November 18, 2008.

The Clique's plot mainly follows the first novel in this series by Lisi Harrison. The books lead you through the middle school lives of five girls: Massie Block, Dylan Marvil, Kristen Gregory, Alicia Rivera, and Claire Lyons. The girls belong to the most popular group at their private all-girls school Octavian Country Day (OCD) called the Pretty Committee.

Sugarloot.com hosted a Clique contest in September 2007, where the five finalists went to Los Angeles, California for an audition. Juliana Parinello was the winner and will play Debby Weezer, a girl on the bus who has allergic reactions to a brand of lipgloss called "Glambition" (a line of makeup created by the Pretty Committee for Kristen's class project). Clique author Lisi Harrison named the character after a close friend. She said her name is Debby Weezer, or "Dweezer" for short.

• Massie Block (Elizabeth McLaughlin) - The leader of the Clique (also known as the Pretty Committee), and the official leader of the social part of Octavian Country Day School, an exclusive Westchester private school, where she is a revered figure. She has witty comebacks, a taste for high fashion, and loves being the center of attention.
• Alicia Rivera (Samantha Boscarino) - She looks more mature than the other girls, and is the daughter of former supermodel Nadia Rivera. She is very beautiful and sneaky. Alicia is also the beta in The Pretty Committee
• Dylan Marvil (Sophia Anna Everhard) - A redheaded girl with curly hair and jade-green eyes. She is constantly on diets and is the daughter of the famous Merri-Lee Marvil, host of the popular talk show The Daily Grind.
• Kristen Gregory (Bridgit Mendler) - An athletic blonde who attends OCD on a scholarship. Both of her parents are extremely strict. She enjoys creating word games to play with the girls.
• Claire Lyons (Ellen Marlow) - A blue-eyed blonde who relocates from Orlando to Westchester. She is shy and has a liking for Keds. All she wants to do is fit into Massie's Pretty Committee.
• Layne Abeley (Vanessa Marano) - Claire's food-obsessed best friend. She has mousy brown hair and narrow green eyes, and is Claire's first friend at OCD. Massie often refers to her and her friends, Meena and Heather, as LBRs (Losers Beyond Repair)
