A comedy that spoofs the inspirational sports movies, The Comebacks tells the story of an out-of-luck coach, Lambeau Fields (Koechner), who takes a rag-tag bunch of college misfits and drives them towards the football championships. In the process, this life-long loser discovers that he is a winner after all by redeeming himself, saving his relationship with his family and friends, and finding that there is indeed, no "I" in "team"! |||| The Comebacks spoofs such sports movies including Talladega Nights, Rocky Balboa, Remember the Titans, Radio, Miracle, Friday Night Lights, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Field of Dreams, Gridiron Gang, The Longest Yard, Stick It, Facing the Giants, Bend it Like Beckham, Invincible, We Are Marshall, Blue Crush it also spoofs sporting events like the 2006 FIFA world cup and the Bill Buckner infamous error in the 1986 World Series just to name a few.
