'CSI: Miami' and 'The Event' endings still 'up in the air' for 'The Glades' Taylor Cole

Taylor Cole is making another Florida-based crime series now, but she hopes there's still life left in "CSI: Miami."Just added to the A&E drama "The Glades" -- which starts its third season Sunday, June 3 -- as a bureau chief bound to interfere in the less-than-solid relationship of Jim and Callie (Matt Passmore, Kiele Sanchez), the model turned actress spent the current television year as lab technician turned field agent Samantha Owens on the part of CBS' "CSI" franchise not yet renewed beyond its 10th season that ended last month."Sometimes you know and sometimes you don't," Cole tells Zap2it of having been through several series cancellations. "With 'Summerland,' I thought for sure we were getting picked up ... but they wanted 'Charmed' to go for another season, so we got knocked off. With 'The Event,' I was pretty positive we weren't coming back. And with 'CSI: Miami,' it's up in the air."It's harder when you... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/05/csi-miami-and-the-event-endings-still-up-in-the-air-for-the-glades-taylor-cole.html

Jason Ritter Shares 'Event' News and His Dad's Advice on 'The Talk' (VIDEO)

Jason Ritter shared good news for fans of 'The Event' on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS), when he discussed plans to continue the canceled NBC series, in one form or another, to address its unanswered questions. He also shared some advice his late father John Ritter's advice on navigating celebrity and show business. "We made all these promises that we would give them answers and so they're still looking for a way to continue telling the story," said Ritter about 'The Event.' "Whether another channel picks it up, they're still in talks to see if that can happen. Maybe do a wrap-up miniseries. They eventually will be getting the answers out in some format or another. Comic book, maybe? I don't know." http://www.aoltv.com/2011/08/05/jason-ritter-the-event-news-dads-advice-the-talk-video/

'The Event' could live on at Syfy: Is this the canceled 2010/11 series you want more of?

Nearly three weeks after NBC formally canceled its freshman science fiction thriller, "The Event," it now appears that the show might not be completely dead after all. Deadline reports NBC sister network Syfy is currently in talks to resuscitate it as a miniseries -- and possibly add on another season if the mini performs well. There's still a lot to consider for the network and producers at Universal Media Studios. A move to Syfy would greatly decrease the budget, and every day the show stays dead, the more cast members enter commitments to other opportunities. Plot-wise, the series does have a lot of loose ends to tie. The Season 1 finale explained what "the event" was, carefully mentioning that it hasn't actually happened yet. But there's a more important thing to consider here: Is this really the felled show from the last season we want to see get a pardon from the proverbial governor?... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/06/the-event-could-live-on-at-syfy-is-this-the-canceled-201011-series-you-want-more-of.html

'The Event,' 'Law & Order: Los Angeles' Canceled

In the midst of NBC's flurry of pilot pickups (hooray, Chelsea Handler sitcom!) and series renewals (yay, 'Chuck'!), the network let the ax fall on two of its bubble shows. Freshmen series 'The Event' and 'Law & Order: Los Angeles' are both canceled. According to Entertainment Weekly, NBC will not pick up 'The Event,' its alien drama, for a second season. The show premiered strong, but its viewership slipped drastically throughout the season and just couldn't gain any momentum after its winter hiatus. However, it might not be completely dead: Deadline is reporting that the producers are shopping the show to other outlets, including Netflix. Deadline is also reporting that 'Law & Order Los Angeles' has also gotten the hook, even after a drastic overhaul that saw Skeet Ulrich get killed off, Alfred Molina change professions, Corey Stoll shave his mustache and Alana De La Garza join the cast. http://www.tvsquad.com/2011/05/13/the-event-law-and-order-los-angeles-canceled/
