The Fall is a 2006 film by Tarsem Singh, starring Lee Pace, Catinca Untaru and Justine Waddell.The movie's story centers around Roy Walker, a bedridden man in a hospital, who befriends a fellow patient, a young girl called Alexandria, and starts telling her a vivid, fantastical story of exotic lands. The trailer names a group of five steampunk staple heroes, an Indian, an ex-slave, an explosive expert, a masked bandit, and in a bit of revisionist history, famed evolutionary biologist Charles Darwin. They unite to fight a common enemy, Gov. Odious, the "bad man."The Fall premiered at the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival. For its wide theatrical release in 2008, the film is presented by David Fincher & Spike Jonze.

Summary
The Fall (2008) Premiere: May 9th, 2008 In Los Angeles, circa 1920's, a little immigrant girl finds herself in a hospital recovering from a fall. She strikes up a friendship with a bedridden man who captivates her with a whimsical story that removes her far from the hospital doldrums into the exotic landscapes of her imagination. Making sure he keeps the girl interested in the story he interweaves her family and people she likes from the hospital into his tale.
