'Good Wife' Season 4: A new scandal for Peter Florrick

CBS has released art and information for "The Good Wife" Season 4 episode 3, titled "Two Girls, One Code" and it sounds like trouble is brewing for the Florrick gubernatorial campaign. The episode description reads:"Two Girls, One Code" - While Alicia and Will represent an internet startup in a lawsuit against a search engine accused of manipulating results, Eli attempts to head off a potential scandal for Peter's campaign. "The Sopranos" star Dominic Chianese guest stars as Judge Marx and Rita Wilson returns as Viola Walsh. Here are a few things that stand out to us. First of all, the episode title is a reference to an internet video that you should not Google under any circumstances (seriously, we're not trying to trick you by telling you not to. Don't Google it). But hopefully that title refers to the case of the week with the internet search engine and not the new Florrick scandal. Because -- ew.Secondly,...

'Good Wife' Season 4 premiere clip, plus Carrie Preston returns and episode 2 pictures released

"The Good Wife" has more exciting casting news out Friday (Sept. 14), though this time it's a familiar face instead of a brand-new one. Carrie Preston, who plays oddball lawyer Elsbeth Tascioni, is returning for multiple episodes in the fourth season, reports TV Line, but details are being kept under wraps about who she'll be representing this time around. In other news, new photos and info has been released for the second episode, cleverly titled "And the Law Won," which is a follow-up to the season premiere, titled "I Fought the Law."The description reads:Amidst staff and budget cuts at the firm, Will tries to help by turning down a low settlement offer in his first case back from suspension. Meanwhile, Alicia unexpectedly aids Peter's campaign. Maura Tierney ("ER") guest stars as wealthy businesswoman Maddie Hayward and Nathan Lane returns as Clarke Hayden, the firm's appointed trustee. And finally, here is the first clip of the...

'The Good Wife' Season 4 spoilers: Who's getting a new love interest?

Yes, "Good Wife" fans, one of the ladies on the show is getting a new love interest this season -- but don't worry, it's not Alicia (yet). She's got plenty of men on her hands already. No, the girl who will finally meet someone is actually Grace Florrick (Makenzie Vega), Alicia and Peter's teenage daughter. While it'd be hard to classify 16-year-old Grace as rebellious, she hasn't exactly been a walk in the park for Alicia. She actively campaigned for her father's opponent, and her interest in the Bible and religion has confused Alicia throughout the series. Her new love interest is no Bible-thumper, though. Grace will meet Connor in the eighth episode of the season. He hasn't been cast yet, but the role is described as a "very handsome, cool, isolated, dangerously charismatic" student who attends Grace's private school on scholarship. He's definitely the school's resident bad boy, with a "a prep school slacker vibe"...

'The Good Wife' Season 4: Bill Maher to cameo as himself

"The Good Wife" just keeps adding intriguing stars to its roster of guest-stars or recurring characters for the upcoming fourth season. Wednesday (Sept. 12) CBS tweeted that comedian/commentator Bill Maher will appear. "The Good Wife will get some real time with Bill Maher...he's been cast to appear as himself in a cameo role of an episode this fall," says the network. We would have to imagine Maher's guest-starring role will have something to do with Peter Florrick's gubernatorial campaign, rather than a case-of-the-week scenario, which should prove interesting. Do you think he's a Florrick supporter or Florrick critic? Maher joins the laundry list of guest stars that includes Brian Dennehy, Christina Ricci, Miriam Shor, Nathan Lane, Marc Warren and Maura Tierney. It's shaping up to be a great season, which will premiere Sunday, Sept. 30 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS....

The Good Wife Casting Scoop: Meet Cary's Dad!

Who knew Blair Waldorf and Cary Agos had so much in common? In the latest impressive Good Wife casting scoop, John Shea - who has recurred on Gossip Girl for years as the father of Leighton Meester's Upper East Sider - will stop by the CBS drama as Cary's father TV Line, which broke the news, describes Mr. Agos as "awkward and stiff," while teasing that he kicked Cary out of the house at the age of 18 because his father treated him the same way. Sounds like there's an issue or two dozen that needs to be worked out between father and son, huh? The Good Wife Season 4 premieres on September 30 and other recent casting additions include Christina Ricci and Brian Dennehy .

The Good Wife Season 4: Kalinda and Alicia Are Playing Rough

CBS has released a risqué new promo for season four of  The Good Wife , highlighting the tumultuous relationship between Kalinda and her ex-husband, Nick (Marc Warren). The duo is first seen in bed where Nick says, “I’ve missed this.” The scene then abruptly shifts to him forcing her head aside before cutting to a violent confrontation between the couple. It’s dark stuff, but also tantalizing thanks to Warren and Archie Panjabi’s chemistry . The promo also introduces Kristen Chenoweth’s political reporter, Peggy Byrne. Peggy is seen interviewing Alicia about why she keeps standing  by her husband. Alicia cooly responds, “I don’t like to break commitments .” Read More...

The Good Wife Season 4 Promo: "Stronger, Sexier"

Last year The Good Wife  marketing department told us "Don't let the name fool you" and this time the campaign is leading with "Stronger, Sexier." We are also treated to all new footage that introduces some of the new players to  The Good Wife's  political and personal scene and it definitely teases enough information to make this one the most anticipated returning shows. Once again the issue of commitment is discussed; commitment that we saw in the pilot episode as Alicia (Julianna Margulies) stood by (or rather behind) her man at the press conference that revealed Peter (Chris Noth) had been unfaithful. This time it is reporter Peggy Byrne (guest star Kristin Chenoweth) who is asking the questions and from the nature it would seem that either Alicia and Peter have reconciled, or the news of their separation has yet to leak to the press. Even from this brief promo this scene crackles with tension. The costume department have done a terrific job with both characters putting them in such bold jackets and these choices are never just because the color suits the actor. Red and black are the colors that Alicia probably wears most frequently and putting her in teal suggests a confident Alicia. As you can see from the promo photo above, red is also still very much a part of Alicia's wardrobe. Read More...
