'The Middle': Chord Overstreet's back at school

While he was a mere high school student when we last saw him on screen as "Glee's" Sam Evans, Chord Overstreet returns to prime-time Wednesday (Sept. 28) evening on "The Middle" as an elementary school teacher. Talk about range.Overstreet guest stars as Mr. Wilkerson, Brick's (Atticus Shaffer) teacher -- a teacher whose new age-y teaching philosophy (there's an "answer ball" involved) doesn't fly with Brick's dad, Mike (Neil Flynn). Oh, and if you're having trouble recognizing old Trouty Mouth, he's rocking his natural sandy-brown hair color.... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/09/the-middle-chord-overstreets-back-at-school.html

Why Doesn't Everybody Love The Middle?

The ABC comedy's Wednesday stablemate  Modern Family  won Emmys in every eligible category over the weekend, while  Patricia Heaton 's Indiana clan didn't earn a single nomination. What the Heck? Maybe because the show takes place in the middle of the country (hence the title) and centers on an old-fashioned nuclear family, it's not considered edgy enough for Emmy. But  The Middle  is every bit as funny, well-acted — and modern — as  Family . Read More... http://www.tvguide.com/News/Cheers-Jeers-Middle-1037916.aspx?rss=breakingnews

'The Middle': Patricia Heaton on her 'Raymond' reunion, Chord Overstreet and Season 3

The headline guest star on "The Middle" this fall is Ray Romano, who's reuniting with his "Everybody Loves Raymond" co-star Patricia Heaton. But he's far from the only one.Romano appears in Wednesday's (Sept. 21) hour-long season premiere, which flashes back to Frankie (Heaton) and Mike's (Neil Flynn) honeymoon. Romano plays Nicky, a friend of Mike's who "crashes the party," as Heaton puts it."It's a very different format that we're working in on 'The Middle,'" Heaton tells Zap2it about working opposite her former TV husband again. "We have no audience like we did on 'Raymond,' and we have no rehearsal time like we did on 'Raymond.' And Ray looks a hundred years older. I don't know what he was doing on [his TNT series] 'Men of a Certain Age,' but clearly he was burning the candle at both ends. Or maybe he's just not going to the right doctors -- I gave him a few phone... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/09/the-middle-patricia-heaton-on-her-raymond-reunion-chord-overstreet-and-season-3.html

Patricia Heaton On 'The Middle' Season 3, the Royal Wedding & Reuniting With Ray Romano

When the Heck family returns on the Season 3 premiere of 'The Middle,' they'll be joined by a very special guest -- Patricia Heaton's former 'Everybody Loves Raymond costar Ray Romano . But don't worry -- just because the ABC sitcom is now attracting guest stars like Romano, former 'Saturday Night Live' star Molly Shannon and former 'Glee' star Chord Overstreet doesn't mean the show will lose any of what star Patricia Heaton calls its "Heck style." In the Season 3 premiere (Wed., Sept. 21, 8PM ET on ABC), the Hecks go camping -- Heck-style, of course -- and if you're thinking that sounds like a recipe for disaster, you're absolutely correct. Below, Heaton sounds off on her hatred for camping, reuniting with Romano and which pop culture obsession Frankie will harbor next now that the Royal Wedding is over. http://www.aoltv.com/2011/09/20/patricia-heaton-interview-the-middle-season-3/

'Glee's' Chord Overstreet to guest star on 'The Middle'

While we're still devastated by Chord Overstreet's exit from "Glee," we finally have some good news to report -- the trouty-mouthed actor won't be absent from our TV screens for long.Overstreet is breaking out of the high school mold and... going back to school. Warner Bros. confirms to Zap2it that Overstreet will guest star on sitcom "The Middle," as Ralph Wickerson, Brick Heck's idealistic fourth grade teacher who gets a little over-involved in his student's life, if you ask Frankie and Mike. He doesn't exactly agree with their laid-back parenting methods.Overstreet will be on set this week to film scenes for an episode airing on ABC on Sept. 28. No word yet on whether he'll randomly be breaking into song. What do you think of this change of scenery, Gleeks? Weigh in below in our comments section.... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/08/glees-chord-overstreet-to-guest-star-on-the-middle.html
