John Krasinski Talks Steve Carell: Nobody Can Replace Him on 'The Office'

It's almost that time, 'The Office' fans! Time to say goodbye to Steve Carell's Michael Scott and hello to his replacement. Thankfully, we have a few more episodes left. However, the cast and crew bid farewell to the actor already. John Krasinski is the featured interview in the upcoming issue of Parade, where the shaggy-haired actor reveals how he really feels about Steve Carell's impeding departure from their beloved TV show, 'The Office.' "[It's been] completely bittersweet," Krasinski told the magazine. "It's an insanely special relationship we have with each other on the show, and Steve's leaving is the first time we've been snapped out of it and had to think about how much we all rely on each other." 'Community,' 'The Office' and 'Parks and Recreation' get another season [Updated]

We're pretty sure Stage 31 on the Paramount Lot where NBC's "Community" shoots is vibrating with excitement right now. Not only has their show been moved over to the renewed column on NBC's scheduling board, but "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation" move over, as well, to join its Thursday comedy block buddies."I am so pleased to renew these three outstanding comedies which are all at the top of their game creatively," says NBC Entertainment Chairman, Bob Greenblatt. "Along with '30 Rock,' they represent the best of what the NBC comedy brand stands for in terms of originality, wit, and sophistication.""Community," while garnering much critical acclaim, has had as star Yvette Nicole Brown called at PaleyFest recently, "a small, but mighty audience." With an average 4.7 million viewers overall, the show consistently does well in a time period that includes competition from Fox' "American Idol," CBS's "Big Bang Theory" and ABC's "Wipeout.""The Office" will go on without Steve Carell's Michael... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/03/community-the-office-and.html

'The Office': Michael gets ready to pop the question

NBC is promising a proposal on "The Office" next week -- in which case, Holly better look out.The teaser clip above doesn't include the actual popping of the question, but it does feature a couple of ideas Michael (Steve Carell) wants to run by the group before giving Holly (Amy Ryan) a rather too-expensive ring. We're assuming Jim (John Krasinski) and Co. will be able to dissuade him from the fake-corpse idea, and Andy (Ed Helms) has already used a marching band to declare his love for Erin (Ellie Kemper), so that's probably out. We're rather concerned about the gasoline, though. "The Office" returns from its March hiatus at 9 p.m. ET Thursday, March 24 -- but then is taking another two-week break before returning April 14 to finish Carell's tenure and then the remainder of the season (grr, NBC scheduling department). Here's hoping we're not left hanging at the end of next week's show.... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/03/the-office-michael-gets-ready-to-pop-the-question.html

How Will Michael Propose to Holly on The Office?

The Office spoiler alert : Michael Scott will soon propose to Holly, and you won't believe how. Okay, this is Michael Scott. You may believe how. On next week's new episode, Steve Carell's character will seek advice on the ideal way to pop this important question, producer/star Paul Lieberstein tells TV Guide: "He's paralyzed by wanting it to be the perfect proposal - and perfect in a 'Michael Scott' way," says Lieberstein . "Pam catches him in one of his early attempts, which is to spell out 'Will you marry me?" in gasoline in the parking lot - which he plans to light on fire!" Titled "Garage Sale," next week's Office installment was meant to mark Amy Ryan's final appearance on the sitcom. But new rumors suggest she'll show up again on Carell's final episode. As always, you can visit our section of The Office quotes soon after it airs for the latest quips and one-liners. http://www.tvfanatic.com/2011/03/how-will-michael-propose-to-holly-on-the-office/

Ted Danson Shares 'Office' Farewell Video Made for Steve Carell (VIDEO)

To reduce his carbon footprint, Jimmy Fallon decided to turn the lights down off for his interview with Ted Danson on 'Late Night' (weeknights, 12:37AM ET on NBC). Under the beam of a flashlight, Danson shared that he and wife Mary Steenburgen made a special video honoring Steve Carell as he prepares to leave 'The Office.' In the clip, Steenburgen wore her Dunder Mifflin bathrobe in solidarity. But when the camera panned to Danson, he was clutching his two Emmys from 'Cheers' and gaping longingly at the television. 'Cheers' clips played, accompanied by the series' famous theme song at full blast. "Beware, Steve Carell. This could happen to you," Steenburgen noted somberly. Back in the 'Late Night' studio, Fallon decided it was time to turn the lights up to get their bearings. Danson suddenly had a guest-couch buddy: Pee-Wee Herman. http://www.tvsquad.com/2011/03/16/ted-danson-shares-office-farewell-video-made-for-steve-carell/
