Supermodel Naomi Campbell broke down during a recent appearance on American talk show "The Oprah Winfrey Show" as her mum apologized for abandoning her as a child. Valerie Morris was in the audience for the taping of the show, which aired on Monday, May 3, and listened as her daughter tried to explain what was behind her famous temper. And something hit home when the model explained that she felt hurt when people she trusted lied to her or stole from her - because, at that point, she felt childhood issues rising inside. Asked for her opinion, Morris brought her daughter to tears when she opened up about her parenting problems when Naomi was a little girl. Mum said, "She used the word abandonment and it's fair to say that yes, I do feel that I abandoned her. I was 19 when I had Naomi and I was a single mum... I wanted the best for my daughter and I left Naomi to work to give her a better life, private education... and so, looking back, you sort of realize that material possessions are not the only thing that a child needs. Naomi, I'm really, really sorry." At that point, host Oprah Winfrey had to cut to a commercial because her guest was too upset to continue with the interview. After the break, the model fought back tears as she said, "Of course I understand the sacrifice she had to make." The model then burst into tears again, prompting Winfrey to call for a tissue. In her first TV interview since John Edwards claimed paternity of her 2-year-old daughter, Rielle Hunter told Oprah Winfrey she is not a home wrecker. "It is not my experience that a third party wrecks a home," Hunter said on The Oprah Winfrey Show Thursday. "I believe the problems exist before a third party comes into the picture." "A lot of people bought into the myth of the marriage. I mean, the Edwards marriage as being a storybook story and it was so perfect and so wonderful," she said. "He wanted to be with me, and their marriage had problems for many, many years." In her sit-down with Winfrey, the 46-year-old Hunter recalled meeting the former presidential candidate for the first time in February 2006 and running into him again later that night. "He came around the corner and saw me standing on the street, and he lit up. He was just so excited - I mean, just lit up," she said. "I just turned to him and said, 'You're so hot.' And he practically jumped in my arms." Edwards, 56, later invited her to his hotel room to discuss how he could help her and, although Hunter would not say if she did or did not spend the night, she had no personal intentions. "I had no plans, none at all," she said. "Just my heart felt I could help him." After that, she and Edwards began talking on the phone daily for four hours at a time and Hunter was hired in July 2006 as a videographer for Edwards' campaign. Hunter said Edwards was aware she was not using birth control when daughter Frances Quinn was conceived in May 2007. Since admitting he was Frances Quinn's father in January, Edwards and his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth, have separated. "Do I think I hurt Elizabeth? You would have to ask Elizabeth that," Hunter said. "I don't know the answer to that." Hunter said that Edwards regularly visits their child and provides both mother and daughter with financial support. Although Hunter stated she loves Edwards and believes that he loves her, she would not say if they are in a relationship. "I'm a private person. It's hard," she said. "Right now, I need a boundary on my personal life." Source Here

Where Oprah Winfrey goes, her dedicated correspondents and specialists follow. Lisa Ling is among the many who've collaborated with Winfrey before and will get a chance to extend that relationship when the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) launches in 2011. "It's going to be a documentary series," Ling tells Zap2it. "I'm excited about the fact that we are really going to take things deeper than I've ever gone. This is the documentary series that I've always dreamed of doing, so I'm really excited that Oprah has been so supportive and really had a lot of faith in me. I'm just grateful for that." Production has already begun on the hourlong newsmagazine "Lisa Ling Investigates," which is based domestically and is only "sort of" an extension of the stories Ling has brought to the "Oprah" talk show. Ling recalls how she first began as a correspondent for "Oprah." To Read More Click Here .

Kirstie Alley regrets stripping down to her bikini on Oprah Winfrey's chat show in 2006, because the "error" will haunt her for the rest of her life. The former "Cheers" actress went on the U.S. show to unveil her new slimline look after losing 80 pounds (36 kilograms) in the space of a year. She only agreed to remove her clothes because there were no photographers present during filming - but failed to realize clips of her sexy strip would become an internet sensation on YouTube. Alley tells U.S. talk show host Larry King, "Let me tell you something very stupid about myself. This is what I said when I did that." "No one is allowed to take photographs. I live in 1938. And I thought, well, there's no photographs, so this will be the end. I'll walk out, I'll go blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. That's the end of that. So stupid. All they have to do is take a framed shot. You know, and little did I know that this would be all over YouTube. It has had like millions of hits. It was its own show." "Of course it wasn't Oprah's idea, because she doesn't have stupid ideas. It was my idea, because I just thought, if I can get myself to come out here in a bikini, then I know that I am liberated. And then I realized, oh my God, now I have to live with this for the rest of my life. I made some errors in my life." Source Here
