'Housewives' Bethenny Frankel confirms pregnancy

Like any proper mother-to-be, Bethenny Frankel wanted to wait to announce her pregnancy only after she passed the safe zone in her gestation. Too bad gossip blogger Perez Hilton outed her health status first. "I'm pregnant," Frankel, 38, tweeted Tuesday, linking to the full announcement in People. "I had to be true w u but was unfairly forced to come forward early." The Real Housewives of New York City star said it was "premature" to tell people the news, but had to respond to the rumor with the truth. "I am praying everything is okay but I don't know that yet." "It's not like, 'Did I get Botox?' It's not the way I wanted it to get out," she says. "I haven't even gone through my first trimester. We haven't even heard the heartbeat. My [fiancee's] parents didn't even know." Since both Frankel and Hoppy are 38, she admits they weren't always careful about birth control since she wanted to get her family underway. They plan to wed before the baby is born. "Because of my age, it's not like I was going to meet a boy, and then be engaged for a year and then be married for a year before we started trying [to have kids] ... I'd be 45." Mazel tov, Bethenny! Bethenny Frankel Reiterates: She's On Board for 'The Real Housewives of NYC' Season 3

Amidst her allegedly fake engagement to Jason Hoppy and the rumored lawsuit she might face if she continues with her new series, which rings a bell to HBO 's Sex and the City , Bethenny Frankel has declared over and over again that she's returning for the third season of The Real Housewives of New York City . Still, that hasn't stopped rumors from surfacing that she might be replaced midway through the new season. Now Life & Style reports that socialite Sonja Morgan will serve as Frankel's replacement in the middle of the season of The Real Housewives of New York City. "It was just signed yesterday," an insider told Life & Style, adding that Morgan would replace Frankel around the third season's fifth episode. "It's not pretty between Bethenny and the other cast members in the episodes that they've already taped." the insider told Life & Style. "I think the show is going to explode this season!" Once again, Frankel has decided to disprove the rumors. "You heard it here: the rumors about me not being on Housewives are false. you're stuck with me!!!" wrote Frankel in a Friday evening post on her Twitter account. "I repeat: I'm on Housewives for season 3!!!" While Frankel has set the record straight, it's hard not to believe reports that claim otherwise because this isn't the first time Frankel was rumored to be leaving The Real Housewives of New York City. A week after the third season renewal announcement in July, it was reported that Frankel was leaving the show to star in a new Bravo reality series that would document her alleged engagement and wedding to Jason Hoppy. Shortly after though, the news died down but was replaced by last week's announcement that Bravo was developing a new reality series starring Frankel that will follow the former The Apprentice: Martha Stewart runner-up as she focuses on her love life and career as a natural foods chef.
