At what point does filming every aspect of your life cross the line from reality programming to reality softcore pornography? The line seemed to be blurred, along with Tamra's breasts and Eddie's hindquarters, on 'The Real Housewives of Orange County' (Sun., 10PM on Bravo). It just seems like there would be points in your life where you might expect the cameras that follow you around to give you some privacy. Or better yet, you might demand it. For Tamra and her new boyfriend Eddie, stripping down naked and cavorting in a bathtub is apparently not one of those times. In fact, the cameras were there for the close-ups of all the frolicking and more. http://www.tvsquad.com/2011/03/21/tamra-eddie-hot-and-naked-real-housewives-orange-county-video/
'Real Housewives' stars Tamra Barney and Peggy Tanous got a dose of reality this week while out for drinks in New York City. Orange County 'Housewife' Tamra Barney appeared on Andy Cohen's 'Watch What Happens Live' talk show and claims she "got roofied," referring to the drug Rohypnol, used in many date-rape cases. NYC Housewife Ramona Singer, who was with Barney and her co-stars Vicki Gunvalson and Peggy Tanous when the incident occurred, explained the situation to Radar. Singer said the ladies were out at a New York bar, greeting fans and having a nice time. http://www.tvsquad.com/2011/03/09/real-housewives-roofied/
Over the years, Real Housewives of Orange County fans have watched Vicki Gunvalson tackle professional to parenting problems, all while navigating the drama synonymous with the entire Housewives franchise. Judging from the previews, Season 6, premiering Sunday at 10/9c on Bravo, may prove to be Vicki's biggest challenge yet. After recommitting to husband Don last season, she discusses selling her family house and considering divorce (she filed for divorce in October). "I had no idea that everything was going to unfold the way that it did," she tells TVGuide.com. "I'm really making such major changes in my life." Gunvalson talked with TVGuide.com about the new cast members, going through her marriage problems in front of the camera and why her best times on the show may be behind her... http://www.tvguide.com/News/Real-Housewives-Vicki-1030331.aspx?rss=breakingnews
'The Real Housewives of Orange County' might've been overshadowed by their counterparts in Beverly Hills, Atlanta, New York and New Jersey these past few years, but Bravo's trailer for the newest season of the original Housewives proves they haven't lost their flair for the dramatic just yet. In the one-and-a-half-minute clip, the ladies talk vaginal rejuvenation, the danger of gold diggers (pot, meet kettle) and divorce, then get into fights that would be immature even for high schoolers. Someone actually shouts "Your husband was rude to my husband!" before a shoving match breaks out. Ah, it feels good to be back. Though Lynne Curtin isn't listed as a full-time cast member, she pops up in the trailer along with former Housewife Jeana Keough. The newbies this season are Peggy Tanous, a stay-at-home-mom-slash-model, and Fernanda Rocha, the first lesbian cast member. 'The Real Housewives of Orange County' season 6 premieres Sun., March 6 at 10PM ET on Bravo. Watch the trailer after the jump. http://www.tvsquad.com/2011/01/28/the-real-housewives-of-orange-county-season-6-trailer-divorce/
The Real Housewives of Orange County , the series that started it all, is getting another facelift when the show returns for Season 6 this spring. According to Bravo's website, Lynne Curtin is not returning. Although she is featured in the trailer for the new season, her bio is not listed. Last season saw Curtin and her financially strapped family evicted from their home on-camera, and Curtin struggle to discipline daughter Raquel. She joined the show in the middle of Season 4 to replace... http://www.tvguide.com/News/Real-Housewives-Curtin-1028463.aspx?rss=breakingnews
For a while I thought they weren't coming back. But they are! And this season, The Real Housewives of Orange County are back with a vengeance. When they return on March 6, we'll get to meet two new characters and catch up with the lives of some old favorites. The newest Housewife, Peggy Tanous, is described by the Bravo press release as, "a 41-year old former model and now stay-at-home mom with poster girl good looks ... Peggy is an odd mix between a holistic, new age woman and a wealthy Orange County party girl. She believes in clean, natural living but loves her bling, Bentley and plastic surgery. She sees her new OC gal-pals as another step towards being fabulous. During the season, she tries to reinvigorate her former modeling career, but there is more to Peggy than just good looks as she opens up about a dramatic secret." http://www.buddytv.com/articles/the-real-housewives-of-orange-county/real-housewives-of-orange-coun-39194.aspx
OK, Bravo really needs to do a Battle of Its Network Stars. They tried something similar back in 2005 with various reality vets from Survivor, The Apprentice, et cetera, but watching last night's Fashion Show — which tasked the designers with making-under the flashy-trashy Real Housewives of New Jersey and Orange County — it became clear the network that's given us so many catfights, bitchy confessionals and borderline personalities has a treasure trove of "stars" within its own ranks to pit against one another. As the two Fashion teams scrambled to refine Theresa Guidice and work around Gretchen Rossi's pendulous assets, one couldn't help but think of how fun would it be to take this battle out of the sewing room and build on it for the playing field. Sure, we loved seeing ex-pat Jersey diva Dina Manzo again (come back, Grandma Wrinkles!) and Orange County kook Lynne Curtain's reaction to Jeffery's breast-covering creation was richer than most of these women claim to be. But think about it: Instead of having just one Bravo entity visit another or even waste their rage on another dinner party with each other, the network could corral all of its talent and force them to face-off en masse on some sort of Wipeout-caliber obstacle course. In news that is too amazing to let slide, New Jersey Housewife Teresa Giudice is teaching a seminar. The seminar is titled, "How to Have it All," with no follow-up (ie; "... and lose it all, too," or "... Or At Least Lie About Having it All,"). The class will be taught at the Learning Annex in midtown Manhattan on Jan 10, 2011 and women can participate for just $44.95 each. That's a small price to pay for "it all." To Read More Click Here.
The Real Housewives of Orange County's Vicki Gunvalson was hospitalized Thursday after experiencing gastrointestinal problems, according to People. The Bravo reality star says doctors have not yet determined what is wrong with her. "I'm still in the hospital and we still don't know why I'm bleeding internally yet," Gunvalson told the magazine via email Friday. "I am having a colonoscopy so hopefully that will give us some indication." Gunvalson, 47, filed for divorce from husband Donn a week ago after 16 years of marriage. She told E! that Donn has visited her while she's been in the hospital. "It's amicable," Gunvalson says of the divorce. "We're perfect. We're not fighting." Source Here
We just saw The Real Housewives of New Jersey visit Italy, but that was just for two episodes. For years now, the Real Housewives franchise has been as American as baseball, apple pie, and over-indulgence. But according to MovieLine.com, Bravo has plans to expand the franchise overseas. Ladies and Gentlemen, brace yourselves for The Real Housewives of Athens, which is set to debut this fall. According to The New York Post, "this version will follow affluent Greek ladies as they bustle about the cradle of democracy." Call me stupid but I'm a little confused about how this is going to work. Granted, you can barely understand some of the Housewives when they're adding words to our dictionary, but will the Real Housewives of Athens be speaking Greek with subtitles? Do they even speak Greek anymore? Or are they wealthy American ladies who have moved to Greece? In addition to Greece, the Bravo is reportedly casting for The Real Housewives of Sandbanks in Dorset, England. If you say so, Bravo! I'm skeptical, but not enough to even pretend like I won't watch. So, is this ruining the Housewives franchise or making it better? Source Here
