TV ratings: 'Amazing Race' and 'Mentalist' finales score for CBS Sunday, NASCAR boosts FOX

Fast National ratings for Sunday, May 5, 2013The broadcast networks had another ho-hum Sunday in the ratings, although an hours-long delay in a NASCAR race gave FOX a boost in the early part of the night. Once the race was over, the season finales of "The Amazing Race" and "The Mentalist" took over the lead in both viewers and adults 18-49 for CBS. "Once Upon a Time" and "Revenge" were up a little for ABC, as was "Red Widow" -- although its finale still didn't make much of a dent. "All-Star Celebrity Apprentice" fell slightly for NBC.CBS averaged 9.4 million viewers and a 5.9 rating/10 share in households for the night. FOX scored 5.95 million viewers and a 3.5/6, pending updates for the NASCAR runover. ABC (5.75 million, 3.6/6) took third, and NBC trailed with just over 4 million viewers and a 2.5/4.FOX currently holds the lead among adults 18-49 with a 2.1 rating. Mad Men’s Elisabeth Moss Will Guest-Star on The Simpsons Next Fall

The Simpsons is welcoming another member of the Mad Man cast to Springfield: Elisabeth Moss will voice a character on Fox's animated classic this fall, Vulture can exclusively report. According to showrunner Al Jean, "She'll play a character stuck in an elevator who gives birth to a baby. She names it Homer, Jr." (Peggy Olson is pregnant again!) For you detailed-oriented Simpsons diehards, the episode's title is "Labor Pains," Moss's character is named "Gretchen," and Fox is tentatively scheduled to broadcast the episode on November 13 as part of the show's 25th season.
