In the series finale, Beaumont and Cole go undercover to catch someone who's secretly making adult films of unsuspecting apartment tenants. Meanwhile, Shraeger gets deeply involved in helping a crime victim who has become a serial accuser.

The Unusuals is described as a comedic procedural. Sometimes life takes an unexpected turn, as in the morning Casey Schrager is a vice detective working undercover as a hooker by the Lincoln Tunnel and later finds herself a part of the homicide squad because she is considered one of the few honest cops and Lt. Little wants to clean up the precinct. As Casey gets to know her new co-workers she discovers that each one has their own sense of humor and their own secrets. Sgt. Brown has the hots for Det. Beaumont. Det. Delahoy has a brain tumor but wants to die in the line of duty. Det. Banks just celebrated his 42nd birthday and is afraid he won't make it to 43 because that's how old his father was when he died. Det. Cole is very religious but seems to have had a shady past. Casey herself has her own secrets, she grew up as a member of New York's high society and didn't like that money can buy justice. The Unusuals was created by Noah Hawley and is produced by Denis Leary, Peter Tolan and Jim Serpico, also known for FX's Rescue Me. ABC has picked up The Unusuals for mid-season 2008/2009.

The Unusuals Summary
In "The Unusuals," it helps if a cop has a twisted sense of humor, because every moment could be your last. Just ask Casey Shraeger (Amber Tamblyn, "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants"), who started her day as an NYPD vice detective before unexpectedly being transferred to the homicide division. She quickly realizes that, not only does everyone in her new department have a distinct sense of humor, but also their own dirty little secrets.
