Even the dramatic change in the line-up on the judges’ panel hasn’t dented viewers’ enthusiasm (it’s still getting ten million of us glued to our screens each Saturday night), and a few have suggested that the new version is an improvement – although Gary Barlow is no Simon Cowell, despite his many talents. This episode and the next mark the final pair of audition shows before we head off to boot camp.
