'Treme' series finale '... To Miss New Orleans': What did you think?

"Treme" said its final goodbye in its series finale "... To Miss New Orleans." The HBO drama ended with grace as it faded out of its central characters' lives as easily as it came into them. Opening with Albert's funeral and closing with Davis driving away, the extended episode took its time saying goodbye to its large cast of characters. Loaded with musical interludes, viewers got to see Terry end his time with the NOPD and leave town to reunite with his sons in Indianapolis, while Toni shook off her unhappiness and got back to work filing a lawsuit against the NOPD. Annie stood up for herself in the studio in Nashville, though ultimately bent for her manager Marvin for a more commercial sound.Davis tried to create a more mature persona after turning 40, but it seems as though he'll end up sliding back to his old ways. HBO Releases Nostalgic ‘Treme’ Season 4 Key Art

David Simon’s  Treme  will be taking viewers inside the world of post-Katrina New Orleans one last time in season four, and the new key art channels both the end of the series’ journey and the city’s indomitable spirit. “Just a Little While to Stay Here” reads the poster, a reminder that in five short episodes  Treme  will finish its run with the 2009 Mardi Gras, leaving fans with a portrait of New Orleans as a city with renewed hope shortly after the election of President Barack Obama. 'Treme' Season 4: Final episodes bring hope and struggle to New Orleans

The final season of "Treme" starts on an up note for the residents of New Orleans, but as with the entire story to date, not everything will be easy.HBO has released a teaser for the abbreviated, five-episode season, which premieres at 9 p.m. ET Dec. 1. The show picks up on election night in 2008, three-plus years after Hurricane Katrina. Barack Obama's election has the city hopeful that more attention will be paid to the post-Katrina rebuilding effort, but problems ranging from corrupt police to greedy developers.Wendell Pierce, Khandi Alexander, Clarke Peters, Steve Zahn, Melissa Leo, Kim Dickens and the rest of the regular cast returns for Season 4, which will conclude with the series finale on Dec. 29. ‘Treme’ Season 4 Premiere Date Announced by HBO [+Video]

Treme  is returning to HBO for its fourth and final season on Sunday, December 1st at 9PM. The final five-episodes of the critically acclaimed David Simon ( The Wire ) series will pick up 38 months after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. Barack Obama has just been elected President and the city has a reason to hope again. Beginning in Nov. 2008 and ending with the 2009 Mardi Gras, the last episodes will revist the myriad musicians, chefs, Mardi Gras Indians and other New Orleanians whose journeys fans have been following for the past three seasons. Even as hope creeps back into the city’s spirit, police corruption, economic troubles and a broken school system still plague progress.
