Our top moments of the week: 13. Best Response: In case you were living under a rock, or, you know, watching something else on TV Monday night, Gwen Stefani took a page from John Travolta's book and totally mispronounced Stephen Colbert 's last name when she presented at the Emmys . Even though Colbert had already pre-taped his Tuesday show last week, the host still gets in a small jab at the much-discussed gaffe in the blink-and-you'll-miss-it opening credits, in which "Colbore" comes across the screen next to other descriptive words like "honorable," "star-spangled" and... http://www.tvguide.com/News/Moments-Jimmy-Kimmel-Friends-True-Blood-Finale-1086377.aspx?rss=breakingnews

Warning: This article contains spoilers from the series finale of HBO's True Blood. Get it? Mi stake ? Because Sookie staked Bill? Okay, I guess it wasn't that simple, and it's not like Sookie wanted to kill Bill (I didn't even mean to make that reference, but I'm glad I did). Alcide died an honorable death, Sookie started to remember all those good times she had with Bill, and they were thisclose to getting back together, but then Sookie had to infect Bill, and Bill had to go and reminisce about his human life with Caroline and want the best for Sookie. Overall, I understand why Bill had to die, but that doesn't mean I'm not a little sad about it. Read More... http://www.buddytv.com/articles/true-blood/true-blood-why-sookie-made-a-b-54466.aspx
I've been watching True Blood for seven years now. It's been a long, sometimes frustrating, mostly bizarre, and incredible seven years. The vampire show that transcended vampires and actually turned out to be a comedic, political/social satire, has come to a bloody end, and I couldn't be more simultaneously sad and relieved. It's been so, so (un)real, HBO. Before we say goodbye forever, let's talk about how the series finale, "Thank You," could have been more rewarding.
