True Blood's Ryan Kwanten Gets Cat Scratch Fever

Call it animal magnetism. The much buzzed-about True Blood panther finally prowls into Bon Temps - and heads right for Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) on Sunday (9/8c, HBO). As if the wannabe cop doesn't have enough to worry about trying to protect sis Sookie (Anna Paquin) and bounce back from a spat with new love Crystal (Lindsay Pulsipher). "He's dealing with his little simple life thrown upside down," Kwanten says. There are complications Jason can't even imagine when Crystal defies her father, Calvin (Gregory Sporleder), and makes a major choice that will affect her and Jason's future. "There are a lot of things working against that relationship," says executive producer Alan Ball. But before the couple has a chance to reunite, Jason meets the panther. "It's just as vicious, if not more vicious, than a werewolf," says Kwanten. When man and beast go toe-to-paw, will the claws come out - or will they hiss and make up? Source Here

'True Blood' - Eric and the Authority Are Trying to Kill Russell (VIDEO)

Familiarity can breed discontent. The vampires on 'True Blood' live for a long time, and so they've had a lot of arguments with each other. And over a thousand-year-period, it's easy to see how simple fighting could ratchet up -- into something much worse. Like the desire to commit murder, for instance. [Spoiler alert.] Russell and Eric are having a bit of a feud. It seems that Russell (Denis O'Hare) slaughtered Eric's family a thousand years ago. Well, we can understand how someone could still be angry about that. As revenge, Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) killed Russell's gay lover. So now they're both pretty upset. On the latest episode (Sun., 9PM ET on HBO). Russell is still mourning his lover. (And he's carrying around his dead boyfriend's bloody remains inside a glass container -- gross.) Then, the vampire Authority shows up. They want Russell out of the picture -- permanently. Eric is more than happy to go along with this request. So it seems like this ancient feud may be coming to a decisive end. Source & Video

Witch 'True Blood' character is Alan Ball conjuring up for season 4?

Though this season of True Blood still has three episodes to go, I've already got scoopage on the next one: Long story short, it might as well be titled Season of the Witch! Series creator Alan Ball reveals that he'll be introducing Hallow Stonebrook, the were-sorceress from Charlaine Harris fourth Sookie novel, Dead to the World. Preferring to refer to the character as a necromancer, the boss man says she's actually a medium. She communicates with the dead, and she's interested in developing further powers. In the book, Hallow casts a spell on Eric, so um, not sure what more desirable power there can be. Anyway, she's described as a tall, trim brunette - or, to me, Juliet Landau, Buffy's nutso Drusilla. But who do you see in the role? Below's your casting couch. Have fun! The Joy of Vampire Sex: The Latest Issue of Rolling Stone

The idea of celibate vampires is ridiculous, True Blood creator Alan Ball says. "To me, vampires are sex," he says. "I don't get a vampire story about abstinence. I'm 53. I don't care about high school students. I find them irritating and uninformed." On his show, every available orifice is used for intercourse: gay, straight, between humans and supernatural beings, and supernatural being on supernatural being, whether he be werewolf, dog or an enormous Minotaur-looking being called a maenad. Denis O'Hare Exclusive Interview TRUE BLOOD

On Season 3 of the hit HBO television series True Blood, actor Denis O'Hare plays Russell Edgington, the flamboyant and deadly vampire king of Mississippi. As one of the oldest and most commanding vampires on the continent, the King is both terrifying and dangerous, with little regard for others, unless they benefit him, in some way. After the shocking events of the last episode, Episode 9, 'Everything is Broken,' sees a grief-stricken Russell vow revenge against his foes, vampire and human. His actions will make him a very different character, for the remainder of Season 3. In a recent interview, Denis O'Hare spoke exclusively to Collider about how he was offered this role on the series without having to audition, developing the look and sound of the character, working with this incredibly talented cast and getting used to talking with fangs.
